I simply wanted to get the how fellow Somalis think of marrying their 1st cousin. It is medically dangerous and can certainly cause a lot gene related diseases when then same pool of gene mixed. Sure, there are a lot of Somalis who married their 1st cousins and nothing happen to their kids, we are only stressing risk percentage? Feel free to wreck brains what you think of this very delicate and controversial topic. |

If one is to have offsprings that will be not sister types, then I advice you all to refrain from marrying your first cousins or anyone whom you might have with the same blood. |

First, since I've been here the States I change when it comes to marrying ur first cousin. Somehow I would not go for it . I remember once I went to a Wedding for First Cousins getting marry. Everybody were chilling, conversing, and having a good time as usually. The First dance of the Bride and the Groom came up , then they sat, meanwhile a Good Song came up, the Groom hits the floor with a good Lady friend of his. The Bride felt something fishy! Actually, the Groom and the lady were cutting up. The Bride was so Jealous went down to the floor and Slaps the Groom. @###@
Booooooy...that was a Drama...Every1 talking....
Doors got slammed. Yelling and Screams behind closed doors.LQQK shiits happens!The Wedding was Over.
As matter of fact, a lot of ppl did won't 'em to get marry , cos their were (HABRO-WADDAAG), and I believe is not good. |

i would neva go for it cuz..
1- this is your cousin(your first one) and just imagine wat u are doing it's the same •••• as marrying your brother
2- your kids will most likely be retards
3- how in the hell can usleep with your own cousin at night as also your husband/wife
4- it's just simply and downrite nasty
p.s. i have a cousin and we are about the same age and my mother and sisters were alwayz saying look aren't they soo cute together they should get marrried when they grow older...i couldn't imagine it if my cousin and i were married...that is like the most sickest thing in the world....sorry it's just the way i feel and i happen to have also grown up with him so he's like a brother to me.... |

First thing is First opinions are opinions...ur first concern should be what does my Creator say about this situation? Some of u who r saying not to marry ur first Causin r right and i totally agree with them. i would never ever immagine marrying my first causin, no matter what happens but that will not happen. cuz, i have grew up in my causins and i see them as my brothers and Sisters. so there is no way i can turn around to them. no way!!! this is my opinion and that is how i feel, of course some of u r disagreeing me. but, i will alwayz stick with my decision.
