hey guys..how are ya...i need advise...i'm a high school senior and last semester i saw this pretty girl who i thought was realy special...it all started back in sebtember of 2000 just after 2 or 3 days of school and i was shopping for new basketball shoes and one sunday afternoon i was at the mall tryin' to figure out what to buy...at the cash register i noticed someone waving at me from across the store and i reconized her but i was realy surprise that she was saying 'hi' to me...i found out she worked there...i started to have very strong feelings about this girl but i didn't talk to her becuase i thought she was too good for me or somethin'....she's very popular at school...she is the captain of the girls varsity basketball team.....so anyways like i was saying....one day in my 4th block class as i was givin' presentation to the class she asked if i had a girlfriend and i said no....she asked if i wanted a girlfriend and to my stupidity i said somethin' that i'll always regret....don't laugh guys...i said ' it doesn't matter'....hey you can't blame for that becuase i was nervouse and like 40 people were staring at me stuff....so anyways now i have strong feelings for her...i see her in the hallways and all but that was the last day she talked to me....so i was just wondering if i should talk to her or not....time is running out and graduation is in 4 months....i would love to take her to the prom but i'm thinking she would never give me a chance....after all...she's light skinned mixed african-american who is probably getting a full scholarship to a major college.....and for me?...i'm thinking about attending a flight school out in arizona to become a pilot...so guys...i'm realy sorry if i wrote too much but i didn'y know who else to turn to besides my somali brothers and sisters....help me out guys....peace and love.... I ASSUME MOST OF PEOPLE IN THIS NET ARE UPSET WITH YOU AS THEY RESPON THIS KIND OF ADVICE VERY QUICKLY AND THE REASON IS SIMPLY BECAUSE SHE'S AFRICAN AMERICAN.HOWEVER I STRONGLY ADVICE YOU TO MAKE SOME EFFORT RATHER THEN REGRETING 4 THE REST OF YOU LIFE I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW NERVIOUS IT CAN BE SINCE SHE'S POPULAR BUT MY DEAR FRIEND GO 4 IT GO FOR IT . Hey Shaggy, howz it going.
I can honestly say that theres nothing worst than regret and what 'ifs'. If u sincerly like the girl then definately give it a try cos at the end of the day u got more to gain than u have to loose!!!
Believe me I liked this guy who was a good friend of mine for ages and I think he liked me too but cos I was too scard to show my feelings, he just assumed that friendship was I all I wanted. Now I always wonder what could have happened. Dont make the same mistake bro. GO 4 IT!!!!!!!!!

I'm fine and I'm glad you asked for our advice. I defenetly think you should go for it Bro.I am somalian girl and I defenetly didn't let go my chance w/boy friend of two years now. I was nervous to talk to him and all my Somalian girl friend told me not to ask him out cuz they though it was something a girl shoud do. But I chose to fallow my heart and here we are, me and my somalian fiece trying to get married. That was little story about me, but any way go for it. If she says no. You won't die and you atleast know that you give it a try. Good Luck!
