ASALAMU ALAIKUM MY BROTHERS/SISTERS-I AM A 17YEAR OLD SOMALIAN SISTER WHO LIVED IN THE U.S. FOR HALF OF HER LIFE-I KNOW LIVING IN THE U.S.IS HELLA HARD AND FULL OF TEMPTATIONS AND DECISIONS THAT COMES BETWEEN YOU AND OUR GOD-THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE-THE MERCIFUL. BUT OH MY GOD WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BEING A MUSLIM OR BEING A CHRISTIAN IF WE LIVE OUR LIFES THE WAY WE (TEENAGERS) LIVE...I MEAN THINK ABOUT IT NOW..YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THE STYLE OF OUR RELIGION BUT YOU INCLUDING ME STILL MENAGE TO IGNORE IT...DO YOU KNOW IF U DON'T PRAY 5TIMES A DAY U ARE NOT CONSIDERED TO BE A MUSLIM AT ALL? OFF COURSE-BUT DO WE REALLY PRAY...? NO...I MEAN I TRY MY BEST AND EVER SINCE LAST RAMADAN TO PRAY 5TIMES AND IT'S WORKING. IAM A MODEST GIRL WHO KNOWS AND FEARS OUR CREATOR AND THE DAY OF JUDGMENT BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I AM A "AQWAN" I LISTEN TO MUSIC AND LOVE MUSIC-IAM TAKING IT LEVEL BY LEVEL I PRAY EVERYDAY 5-TIMES A DAY..I MISS ONE MOST OF THE TIMES...
OK LET'S GO BEYOND OUR PRAYER---LET'S GO TO THE WAY WE ACT----I READ SOME SOMALI-PEOPLE GIVING ADIVE TO THIS GIRL WHOSE INLOVE----AND THE ADVISE SOME OF THEM GIVE WAS*****GO AHEAD GIRL-SLEEP WITH HIM******HAVE FUN ONCE IN UR LIFE....? I feel you sis,i am also 17 and living in the U.S and it is really sad how somalian teenagers act nowadays. I mean some somali girl's go to party's basically half naked and oh my god what happen to our somali boy's all they want is ass ass and more ass. I do pray daily and where a scarf on my head.It is really nice to know there are ppl like u sis who are teenagers and know what await's us on judgement day. I hope all u teenagers get your act together because somalian's are born Muslim it run's through our vein's along with our blood stream, don't forget Allah the most merciful is watching your every move and well be who u are working hard now to impress. Teenage year's are wonderful but don't forget our life cycle ends sooner or later maybe while u are a teenager and maybe not but it will. To all the teens having sex you already know u committed a sin and i would advise for all the teens wanting to have sex y'all just wait for marriage, what's the hurry i mean sex is something very intimate and you should share it with one person only that you love.This is just a material world and i hope y'all work hard for your afterlife.

Asalamu calycum bros and sis. I'm 19 too and from the UK. i'm glad to have come across a positive link in this page, because everything else is irrelievent to real life. I try to stay away from temptation as u all know living in a christan world it is full of them. However I am human and can make bad decitions at times. Nothing really bad but still bad. Last saturday night I went to a Riwaayad in East London and oh my god was I disgusted by what I saw! The girls are dressed or should say hardly dressed, and I mean semi-naked, I swear u can say everthing hanging out. Smoking cigarrets, weed. drinking alcohol.(Aacuduubilaa.)
I swear u'd think walking around with a bottle and a smoke in your hand was normal the way these kids were acting. As if that wasnt enough, guys and girls putting on shameful displays in the middle of the dance floor with everyone watching. What the hell is going on??? I can not believe how somalis are turning out to be. Please if u read this and u were at Koconuts grove on saturday 10th march, think about what ur doing and remember that allah is watching ur every step. There will be a day were u'll have no where to run to and nobody to help u so help urself now and remember ur religion and culture. Girls, being beautiful doesnt mean being half naked. Let people respect u for who u are as a person not for ur body becasue they wont. Respect ur body and safe it for the person who u marry who will love u and respect u. as they say respect urself and others will respect u. I dont plan to go to anymore of those places so may allah guide us all to the correct path.
Remember dyng doesnt mean the end off it all, u will be brought out of ur grave and be judge so do ur best now!

I am not here to repeat all what you have heard earlier from my other sisters but i am here to condem my fellow brothers who always let their sisters and reletives to go and do such sins.
Being a teenager is hard and wat is even worse is being a teenager in the west with no one to look after you
I mean these girls need looking after where is the parent in this picture, where is the brother, the older sister, these chidren are psychologically unwell they are facing problems at home and all they are after is getting the attention that they want from somewhere esle and wat a better way than to get it from hungry dogs like boys
We have to regain the home values again I mean the mother goes off wonders around with her gold and shows off with it and the father allah knows wat is his job if he is living with the family then he is eatting teh green grass (Qat) if not then he is waitng in somalia and shouting ' send me money' never bother to ask about the health and well being of his children
So basiclly wat i saying is that home values should be back inorder to have a healthy commited society

I am very proud of being a Muslim and Somali,it is people like you that make me really relize that not all somali teen's are out of control and
forgetting about their religion. I know there are me fellow sister's who keep it real with themselves, they don't let a boy walk all over them. if you don't have respect for your self to take upon today's temptation who will respect you when you are looking forward to settle down and start a family.To all my sister's stay strong, motivated and make sure you respect your self enough to live by your religion.To all my fellow Somali bros, I know there are many of you who live by your religion and culture. There are many temptations nowaday's but you guys keep on respecting your religion, culture and women.
I just want to say I am proud of all you for writing all these positive comment's because we do need a little positivity in our live's. Stay strong and focus on your studies. We were born Muslim amd that is how we will die.
