Dear "you can look but you can't judge".
Firstly I'm glad to hear that you are a virgin and congratulations on your up coming wedding. However sis, you maybe a virgin, but its haraam for your hair to be seen my any man except your husband/brother/father/son. It is a sin for a woman to be in the company of other women without something covering her bottom half (waist onwards), mind you it is only women...Sis, it is not a matter of only religion, it's a matter of self respect. What would you do if one of your customers recognised you whilst you were with a member of your family/friend....how would it make you feel inside? What would you do if somehow your children found out what you did?
A stripper does not only dance sis, but strips...takes off her clothes...and your right, we do not have the right to judge you only Allah can, and it was wrong for those ppl to diss, however, we, as Muslims, are obligated to remind each other of the right path...and the path you are talking right now is not it. What good deeds have you done?
Pray to Allah sis and repent, and stop the job you are doing...Allah opens doors of opportunity for us all, when one is closed, there'll be another...look for a decent job, which also pays good money and allows you to practice your religion and not degrade yourself...you say you are studying for your Ph.D., which means that you already have a masters degree, why don't you use that to get yourself a good job...it seems you already have very good qualifications.
