Aslamu Laykum brothers and sisters
I Wonder
If Prophet Muhammad visited you Just for a day or two,
If he came unexpectedly, I wonder what you'd do,
Oh, I know you'd give your nicest room To such an honored
And all the food you'd serve him, Would be the very best,
And you would keep assuring him, You're glad to have him there,
That serving him in your home, Is joy beyond compare.
But ... when you saw him coming, Would you meet him at the door,
With arms outstretched in welcome To your visitor?
Or ... would you have to change your clothes Before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put The Qur'an where they had been?
Would you still watch the same movies On your T.V. set?
Or would you switch it off Before he gets upset?
Would you turn off the radio, And hope he hadn't heard?
And wish you hadn't uttered that last hasty word? Would you hide your worldly music,
And instead take Hadith books out? Could you let him walk right in, Or would you have to rush about?
And, I wonder ... if the Prophet spent A day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things You always do?
Would you go right on saying the things You always say?
Would life for you continue, As it does from day to day?
Would your family squabbles Keep up their usual pace,
And Would you find it hard each meal To say a table grace?
Would you keep up each and every prayer Without putting on a frown?
And would you always jump up early For prayer at dawn?
Would you sing the songs you always sing, And read the books you read?
And let him know the things on which Your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take the Prophet with you Everywhere you plan to go?
Or, would you maybe change your plans Just for a day or so?
Would you be glad to have him meet Your very closest friends?
Or, would you hope they stay away Until his visit ends?
Would you be glad to have him stay Forever, on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief When he at last was gone?
It might be interesting to know The things that you would do,
If Prophet Muhammad, in person, came to spend some time with you

With all due respect, the Prophet is NOT a joke...nor is our religion a joke. If you wanna post anything regarding them...post it in the ISLAMIC section of this forums.
I'm sick and tired people posting religious stuff on "ila qosol"...I don't feel like laughing nor do I think it's funny. Rather, i'm disgusted...and feeling MY prophet and religion is mocked and/or ridiculed.
Mostly, the articles have nothing that is mocking or ridiculing the religion or the Prophet---but they DO(if they're posted in a "laugh with me" section)
...it's entirely your choice wherever you post it, but a little respect to the HOLY does not hurt!
...forgive me if I said anything that offended you, it was not(if ever) my intention to do so.

Bro, take it easy...I never said it was funny nor expecting to be funny. Is a Poem and it has a meaning behind it...If you read it again maybe you will catch it.
Don't judge anyone because you dont have such authority. And I feel where you comming from so don't feel bad bro. Next time, think about what you want to say before you say it.

I liked your poem...when I saw it in the Islamic SECTION(BEFORE...I saw this one in the "laugh with me" section)...but to see the Prophet's name in the "laugh with me" section...itself IS ridiculing and mocking, no matter what your intentions were.
I'm not judging anyone that is why I said you have the right to post wherever you feel like it---but that doesn't mean my morals have to agree with it, Tbone.
And i'm not trying to mock you...but told you what I FELT. The people who opened this place had the audicity and the integrity to give us a special place for our religion...We should use it if we want to mention Islamic-related stuff. It's bad to use somewhere else for it...let alone "ila qosol"
I do not mean to offend you, Brother...I hope you know that! But had to tell you what I felt and where I stood!

I personally like this poem very mach and I don't think the brother was trying to play with the prophet's good name and make this out to be a joke but rather trying to capture our attention and the moral behind the poem is a very touchy
one thank you for making people relise the importance of the Islamic religion.
