I have a question...can a girl and a guy really be friends in our somali tradition because i have guys as a friend because i really don't get alone with girls that much. most girls just talk without thinking about the consiquences but guys do that too but not often... if u are under 15 and a girl and a boy can be friends but when u are over 15, they think of other things but don't the parents know that we mean no harm by the fact that we are just friends and no more because my guy friends know me and they don't judge or talk behind my back, that is least most of them but the girls in boston are two faced little brats and the guys are, some of them jealous freaks! in respond to this please be gentle! |

second, if you asking "does somalian tradition allows to have a guy as a friend" I think the answer would be NO and not why.
Although, if you respect them as guys and don't do things that you wouldn't do or say fornt of other guys, They can be friends. And one thing don't ever say or believe that you can trust because you know him and the reason I am saying that is you will never know guys even if you think of him as brother or you know him since 1 yr, still his a man. So watch out

since u mentioned the word gentle a'll do my best not to disrecpect ur ass.
amaal having a guy friends is pleasent thing as longest he knows hes limits.
second thing they say best friends make best caples not that im giving u hint or anything like that.
what makes special ur friendship is that both of u have respect for each other also care for each other too, but sooner or latter someone is ganna get hurt becouse of emortional feeling well if he falls for u or u fall for him it will be different story and i tall ya what it wouldn't be first time when too best friends fall in love.
well thats my opinion anyway and also speaking from experiance too lol shushshsh don't tell anybody aight.
amaal just be ready for anything dear coz man can be so cruel sometimes he can also be a gentle too
pss i wonder if it bothers u when hes with other girls???

a guy and a girl aren't supposed to be friends in Islam. but when it comes to sense, being friends with a guy is ok. as long as you are not attracted to each other. but you will never know what he thinks about you or your body, he could be thinking those things in his head.
i have guy friends and i make it clear , Nothing going on now or ever.

To the Amal Question about can men and women be friends::: Yes they can be friends if they do respect their the limit between the friendship.
Does Islam mind about men and women to be friendships. they mind, but is limited their friendship men can know a women as up to point in Islam.
