I saw a message posted on somalinet a while ago by a somali sista refering to 'class A farah'. If u r not famaliar with the term Farah allow me to define it for u...'a farah is a somali guy who came to the west to get educated or earn a living but instead sat on his arse chewing kaad or smoking weed'...i have to say that i have seen a lot of farah around but i feel it is my duty to protect these uneducated brothas...the female equivalent of a farah is a Halimo...this is a girl who came to the west wearing a veil and not saying sh#t, she satyed in her house for the first couple of years still shell shocked by the whole experience...then this same girl started listening to TLC and Destiny's child and also started watching countless numbers of Jerry Springer episodes and as a result of this she began to develop a talk-to-the-hand-cos-the-face-don't-want-to-know attitude, she now whore tigh outfits revealing all the layers of fat on her body (especially those layers on her ass) and she also began to wear a wig to cover up her fuc##ed up looking hair. I wanna stress that this by no means implies that all somali girls a like that most of which are FINE looking women with great personalities and i've got much love for y'all

i am a somali girl and to be honest with you i really hate the names that they give them selves, like halimo and farah, i think it is stupid to call them selves. Anyway i don't like the girls that dress up like the non muslim ppl and i have some friends who dress up that way.
I always tell them that we have a religion, we believe in god and god told us in the quran how girls and women should dress up, but they seems to forget that. One thing that i don't understand is that back home we never used to dress up this way and i don't know why they dress up this way now. I really don't think wearing tight and putting your hear out, is not looking good.

Thanks for what you said, but i don't hate anyone.
I will tell why girls wear hijab. it is not because they are bold, they can not kome their hair, it is because of the religion. As we are muslim we believe that girls should cover them selves, wear hijab, loos close and etc. it is not something that anyone make it up, it saids in the qur'an, and the hadiths of prophet mohamed (salalahu calayhi wasalim). So i believe in that and cover my self. girls can take their hijab off when they are a places just for girls, at home, with their parents and brothers and sisters.
