Hey you girls, i was wondering if you guys can help me with this. The thing is that iam 18yrs old, and i wanted to finish Univeristy and also get married. But the thing is that i want to finish univeristy 1st then get married, i know alot of people told me that i could do both. But when i really think about i don't want to get married so early there is a lot of things for me to do. And so far about 4guys asked me to married them, and i said NO. And after i think about and iam like why NOT. And about my parents, they don't really mind if i get married, but they also don't like the fact of me getting married early as well. Also everywhere i go, and everyone i see, they always ask me when iam get married?? And alot of my friends got married. Help me on this plz..... |

Hey anonymous sis, how are you doing? Well I share the same belief as you, I want to finish university then get married. When you do something I believe you have to give it your all, but if you get married now then you wouldn't be concentrating on your school as much as if you didn't.
Just cause your friends are getting married doesn't mean you have to, remember to please yourself first and your parents, then worry about others. If you don't want to get married now sis I advice you not to, marry when the time is right.

i totally agree to what the other folks have suggested. First take care of ur education, then, u have all the time to do whatever u want. And, i think, the more u postpone ur marriage age till
the late 20s ...the better (28+)cuz by that time u have made a strong base...financially & academic.And the more mature u r, the more u know ur way in life.

HAKIMA I TOTALLY AGREE THERE IS NO REASON WHY U SHOULD HARRY TOWARDS MARRIAGE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE 18 U R JUST A BABY YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BRING TO A MARRIAGE EXCEPT UR BODY. I KEEP SEEING EVERY WHERE I GO YOUNG GIRLS GETTING MARRIED AND THE ONLY REASON THAT I COULD ONLY THINK ABOUT WAS THE SEX, WHY ELSE WOULD YOU GET MARRIED AT THAT AGE TO HAVE A FAMILY? The problem with somali marriage is you are usually expected to have kids straight away so you have to give up all your independence quickly.
There is no way you can do that and get a decent degree at the same time.Don't follow everyone else, just think carefully about what is important to you.I think those girls getting married so young are either seriously stupid or desperate for sex .
