Question-mark?

Unrecorded Date
Hello my fellow Somali people

I have been wondering about how extravagent Some Somali weddings in the diaspora are.

Help me out please with your opinion, am I just stingy miser or is there something wrong with many weddings somalis hold in high places, spending huge sums of money.

Just thought that some weddings were taken bit too far for a refugee people like us, with lot of needy relatives back home.

-Why are strangers not known to the marrying couple invited to the weddings?

- why don't people keep time when invited?

- why do people incur expenses they can afford?

- why do Somalis try to 'keep up with the Jones?

We obviously are people of big shows, what can of shows will we put on if the oil in our country was taken out and we become something of an oil sheiks? Hard to imagine!

I still can't understand a friend of mine who spent thousands of borrowed money on a girl he knew only for few months, people came, ate, danced and had a lot of fun. They later talked bulzhit about the couple. The worse thing was when the wedders had nothing to eat after few days, all the borrowers were standing at their door to get their money back. Honeymooners couldn't deal with the situation and they had to break up in two weaks. Why all these headache and wasting?

Why not sit on your own behind, go as far as it gets you and invest on the realtionship and not the one-night show?........Just wondering

Who is to blame for this mess, girls or boys?

Good marriage or no marriage

Waa yaab!

Aan idiin sheego sheekadan igag adhcday arood soomaaliyeed.

Waxaa la iga casumay qado aroos uu lahaa nin aan is naqaanno, si weyn iyo sharfid baan u qaatay oo maailintii qadada isku taagay dharkii ugu wacnaa. Meeshii cinwaankeda la i siiyey ayaan tegey, mise saf dheer baa lagu jira oo rag badan baa bannaanka tuban, wax lebisani way ku yar yihiin oo qaar waxay u eg yihiin dib-jiriin maqaayadaha kasoo yaacay sidii sabta ka dhici jirtey. Intooda badani cidda arrosaysa maba yaqaannaan oo filin kama daawan.

Waa la qaylinayaa, qaar ka mid deriska xaafadda ayeyba is haystaan oo ku leh war bal qaylada naga yaraya. wax safkii la taagnaadaba gudihii la gel, qaylada meesha ka dhacaysa, qaab darrada, cayda iyo af-lagaaddada, hilibka iyo bariiska la isku tuurtuurayo ---wax farxad iyo rayn rayn ahi meesha kama muuqdaan. Niman caraysan oo caytamaya ayaa qofkii wax cunaba dhabarka ka dharbaaxaya oo leh "War kac haddaba dadbaa bannaanka taagane". Waa yaab!.

Ninkii arooska iska lahaa oo casumadda fidiyey isaga hadalkiisba daa oo ilba ma saarin. Guntii iyo gabagabadii waxaan la kulmay wax iga yaabiyey oo aan u arkay khalad laga galay dadka u yimi inay sharfaan arooska.

Maalintaas ka dib qado danbe oo aroos allahay ka alle. Mana garan sababta kalliftay in wax noocaas oo kale ah lacag lagu bixiyo. Maxaa u diiday inay casumaan dad tirsan oo yaqaan dadka aroosanaya kadibna si sharaf leh loo qaabilo. Dadku iyagoo qanacsan bay tegi lahaayeen, arooskana lacag baa u baaqan lahayd.

Sharafi dhimatay, lacagina baxday!
