| | Monday, March 19, 2001 - 04:20 am The truth hurts doesn't it? Somalian- you are very right, but everybody lives their own lifes and have their own choices! Anyway what's there to do in Sheffield? If you get a degree you'll end up jobless if you remain in Sheffield, or you'll be working with people with no formal qualifications!!! & dats when ppl start asking themselves "why did I bother waste so many years of hard work, when other ppl have been making money 4 time?" I believe Somalis are entitled to income support coz da Brits took a lot of stuff from our country in da first place! My point of view is dat it feels alot better when you earn your own money. Ppl should stop worrying about others and live their own lives! (Dats another huge problem in Sheff')

The only problem is that if ppl decide that thats it; they r happy with getting their giro cheque. In an ideal world, mechanisms should be available to help ppl get off giros' and enable them to better themselves. This is not an ideal world as u all know- nothing like that exixts so do not JUDGE PPL WHO HAVE TO CLAIM BENEFITS AS BEING SOCIALLY INEPT. None of u knows their backgrounds; hardships they endure. My parents were on income support when they came to this country but that did not mean that they were happy gettin' "free money". It was not pleasant watching them trying to cope with an unfamiliar country- adjustment is never easy. So to ppl who make scapegoats of us- Go to hell! Have a little love for ur ppl- its not that hard! Peace all and i love ya

| | Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 11:19 pm i would like to say that you can't tell some one who came from somali with no back ground of english to come off the incom support, that does not make sence. i total agree with with student@sheffeild,student@sheffeild college because there are on jobs at sheffeild. well jobs with good pay and require the standard of qualification that you have once finshied ur degree. that is the reason why i would be going to other counties at that a growing economy e.g south african, UAE,USA holland etc i would also like to big up maddog so telling the truth. peace + love
