Somalis here work hard and earn enough to support there families and their loved ones back home. some families depend on welfare payments as but not all, specially singles wether guys or girls work hard and harder. I have been to other states before coming here (I mean Boston), here people get jobs which have more benefits than any other state. any 1 who know the language and has a computer literacy gets a good job with good salary and benefit. office assistant, clerical jobs, add/assistants and customer services are many of the available positions in this city. what about the education. did you forget the prestigious institutes and universities Boston University, MASS institute of technology, University of mass, Harvard Univ. these educational institutes are the best in the world. so watch out. don't try to cross the bridge before you reach. by. a true Bostonian

Boston is a good place to live interms of jobs and education. it is litle more expansive interms of rent, but you may get a reasonble house with reasonable price-rent. It is also a good place for education as i said before. Many muslims live in Boston and have centers here, and now they are planing for a big Islamic centre which will serve not only as a Mosque but as a caltural and educational centre. it is a musque with school and libarary and conventional centre. Interms of flexibilty and undrestanding it is somehow beter than many cities in the United States. forinstance, i work and perform my prayers including the friday prayer although it is not an official brake hour for the company i work for , but they respact my believes so let me perform my duties towards my faith. About Hijab and how you can work with it, i dont know axactly what it might be here Because i am not a women and faced such matters but i will inquire muslim sisters here and will feed you with some usefull information which may leed you to a good decision. May Allah pless you Aliya and pless all Muslims. that is what i have for the moment and i will give you the rest Insha-Allah.

The last time we met at congregation was the Eid-Al-Fitri day at the end of Ramadan Mubarak, they were fine although i dont know about all of them, but they looked nice and lovely. I meet in every friday with brothers, but unfortunatly most of them are men, i only see a few sisters in the mosque, it is ok they are not obligated to Pray Juma. In boston life is as usual, although we all live in a non-muslim land, but we have a freedom to worship Allah. that is big deed, which can not be easly undermined and forgoten. from New York, i rerly know about it , it is not near to us, it is far away from here atleast four states are in between Massachusets and Newyork. About Irish people here, they are almost low quality and cant do anything to anybody, they live in a corner of the city and believe me if you come to this city you will not believe that you are in the US, Massive population of diferent colours and languages live here, so it is not a place for racesism. Anyway i dont recomand for you to have a hast decision, it is not easy to move from place to another specialy in the US, so please do think about moving before you do that. may Allah pless on all of us and accept our good deeds Aamiin, Aaamiin. by your brother in Islam.
