The on-going civil war in Somalia has ruined the lives of women and girls in Somalia. It made them displaced, stateless, assetless and most of all destroyed their sense of security. In addition, the Somali men have raped and killed women whom were considered to belong to the "enemy" clans or tribes.

My question is that Somali men have let down Somali women and children and seem ineffective in bringing peace and order in Somalia, thus, should Somali men allow Somali women to take over and find solutions to Somalia?

Please answer it in a honest and sincere way?

Dear Samawada,
I fully agree with you most of your argument, however, the point of "take over" is not suitable. May be it is better and more appropriate to suggest that the people with wisdom, men and women should engage themselves to find a peaceful soltion or may be armed struggle to bring back our country from the chaos it is in now. It is absolutely true that all these problems were caused solely by our men and we have to accept that, nevertheless, there are still more inocent men than the few handfull bandits who call themselves "leaders".
