| | Thursday, March 22, 2001 - 11:14 am Asalamu alaykum anonymous The only reference that i came across on the topic of Masturbation is found in Kabir of Imam Adh dhahabi The Prophet said: “Among those whom Allah will not look at on the Day of Resurrection, and to whom He will say, "Enter the Fire along with those who enter," the Prophet (pbuh) counted the following: The active and the passive partners in homosexuality; the one who has sex with animals; the one who is married to a woman and her daughter at the same time; and the one who masturbates regularly, unless they repent and reform.” I'm am not sure of the authenticity of this Hadith, it is however the only time i've seen this being addressed in the Hadith. Majority of the scholars say it is prohibated and this is the safest if not the correct opinion (insha Allah). Look in fiqh us sunnah to see what our scholars say of this deed. Iman shafai said Haram because all has stated what is permissable in the quran and further more Allah says anything besides what is permissable, in this regard, is transgression!!
