"Do unbeleivers not realize that there heavens and the earth used to be one solid mass that We exploded into existence, and from water We made all living things. (Quran 21:30)

"...This very information is exactly what they awarded the 1973 Noble Prize for...(i.e. the big-bang theory) the Quran reveals the origin of the universe--how it began from one piece-and mankind continues to verify this revelation, even up to know. Additionally, the fact that all life origated from water would not have been an easy thing to convince people of fourteen centuriues ago."--Professor of Mathematics, Dr. Gary Miller

"Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics 1400 years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his mind for instance that the earth and the heavens had the same origin..."----Professor of Geology, Dr. Albert Kroner.

"Then He turned to the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: come you together, willingly or unwillingly. They said: we do come (together) in willing obedience {Quran 41:11) Scientists now can observe new stars forming up out of that smoke, which is the origin of our universe as you see the pictures on the galaxy of the Milky Way.

"Is it not a fact that there was a time when the human being was nothing to be mentioned? (Quran 76:1)

As this verse clearly clarifies that the earth is indeed older than us, mankind. It lived more than we were on its core soil.

"It must be stressed that the Quran is accurate about many things, but accuracy does not necessarily mean that a book is a divine revelation. In fact, accuracy is only one of the criteria for divine revelations."----Dr. Gary Miller

"The Quran states, "This book is a Divine revelation; if you do not believe that, then what is it?" In other words, the reader is challenged to come up with some other explanation. Here is a book made of paper and ink. Where did it come from? It says it is a Divine revelation; if it is not, then what is its source?"----Dr. Gary Miller.

"...and they say, "surely he (i.e. Prophet Mohammed) is possessed (by jinn), but it (i.e. the Quran) is not except a reminder to the worlds." {Quran 68:51-52}

This Big Bang thing reminded me my standard 8 teacher at Mohamud harbi, Mogadishu. His name was Abdulqadir Suud and he teacher secured a permanent spot in my mind. He is the only teacher I still remember.

That year, we had science as course with different sub-courses. Close to the end of the school year, we started a crush course on Astronomy. I always loved this science and I couldn't wait the start date.

His theory: One of the planets will derail and hit another, which will create a dynamo effect. This effect is called Yoomul Qiyaama in slam. After presentation, he started to talk about Allah and the Kitab. He said, the theory is true because as Allah said in the kitab, the sun will rise from a different direction. He said " After the big bang, Allah will send some angels and take all bad people to hot planets such as Mercury and the good ones to other planets such as Saturn.

The reason this particular teacher is still in my mind is that I a came from a very religous family and had a good Islamic background at the time. I could not argue with my teacher but I wonder how the ministry of education allowed this guy to bilittle Allah in front of growing minds!

He told us that Allah would not be the force behind Yoomul Qiyaama but he will take advantage of it! All pure science!

I wonder if Abdulqadir suud is still alive and still a typical non-believer science teacher!

Mohamed.

Good quotes. Very interesting. Keep 'em coming.

Mohamed
Religion does not belong in the science school room. Science education and research must continue unfettered. Why? Because your interpretation of the Koran may not be the same as someone elses and restricting thought in science or politics leads to unimaginative, intolerant and backward societies. And when these societies clash with progressive ones the backward ones get crushed because they are technologically inferior. And their people don't benefit from modern medicine because they are poor. And their great minds are not allowed to express themselves for fear of prosecution. And soon everyone in that society lives in fear that the narrow minded and the evil members of their societies will manipulate the koran to justify injustice as happens in Iraq today. Islam must be embraced by the individual - not forced by the state. In places where people are free to believe what they want and say what they want Islam is a great and positive influence. When evil doers use it as an instrument of oppresion it gets ugly. I believe that Allah wants us to embrace him from our heart, not at the point of a spear.

Mad Mac.

If islam was forced on people, what kept them in the fold so long?. And why do christians flock to believing in islam to a point where the west fears today islam will soon take over as a major religion?. We don't see people carrying spears in the west today do we?. In your country people are free to be what they want to be and yet many of them do become muslims on their own. So when does this "Islam forces people" will stop?.

You're missing my point dude. I'm not saying that Islam is bad or that it's full of forced conversions. What I'm saying is that when government starts telling people what to believe, what they can say and can't say, what scientists can theorize and what they can't, etc that's bad. I'm not saying that's the Islam always is. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. And I myself have given it some serious thought. Anything can be manipulated. IF you look at what Mohamed wrote he wanted to know why this guy was allowed to teach a theory which he found contrary to Islam. That's the kind of thought which leads to "you can only say what the government finds acceptable and all other philosophies, religions, and scientific thought which contradicts what we say is acceptable is not allowed." Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Islamic. There are ceretain specific points that I have a rub with but I have lots of Muslim friends and in general and very comfortable with Islam.

Others:

Thanks for your two-cent words.

Mad-Cap--Nay, Mad-McSon:

Sir, I have a several questions that regards whether our holy Prophet was an impostor or a possessed man that he had invented and compiled his own ideas, theories in order to 'misled' people. IF so, then, here is those burning questions:

1--Was he an Oceangraphist?--Because he is talking about something related Ocean...field.

2--Was he a Physicist?--Because he was talking about stars, planets, originalities of the planets.

3--Was he a Geologist?--Because, he is relating in Holy Quran what none-at-his-comtemporary knew, but recent Scientific discoveries had found.

4--Was he an Embryonist?--Because, he is wording what process is taking at the Womb of our mothers, only what Scientist had discovered currently by using microscopes.

5--Was he a Physician?--It was reported from our Prophet as saying something related that general practioner.

6--Was he a Mad?--Because Pagan Arabs had called him that he was oppessed by an Iblis--the Deceiver of deceive, or Satan. Yet! the Quran says that take a refuge from Satan to Allah. We are taking a refuge from Satan, and Satan is taking himself a refuge to who? What an isinine remark!

7--Was he a Philosophist?--Because what the Quran says isn't seeing before, unless it is a Divine Revelation. And, indeed, it is!

8--Was he a... I can continue those tons of questions, but those, I think, I would let you to answer for what you think as our Prophet.

P.S.--Don't say he was an OPPORTUNIST!! As those modern Kufaars are calling him.

Quite Peace!!

Well since you asked. Here goes. This will probably get me in trouble again. In general I believe that Mohamed was a prophet of God. Where you and I would differ is you would undoubtedly say that everything he wrote is the word of God transmitted through him. I would be more inclined to say he was devinely inspired but a human being with human frailties. That means he will make mistakes in his interpretations of Gods messages. I would say the same is true for Jesus (Issa) and so on. I also believe Joseph Smith (the Mormons) was a prophet but I also believe he was human with human flaws. That's why I believe the devinely inspired books are flawed. Good reference works but not written by God himself. I definately believe in God. And the way I get my guidance from him is through prayer. I don't depend on any of the religious teachings but I do read them and I do think there's a lot of good in them. Just like with Islam my philosophy is rejected by my own family who are Christian. I believe that we all worship the same God and in the end I believe what is important to God is how we develop a relationship with him and how we treat each other. I don't think unswerving belief in a giving doctrine - be it Islam or Christianity or Judaism or whatever - is the ticket to paradise. So I am definately what you would call Kufaar. However, having now explained all of this I don't expect anyone else to buy into it. This is just what I believe and if I'm the only one on the planet who believes it that's fine with me. I'm not looking for converts. For people who believe that Islam is the right way then I say fine. Maybe they're right. It's just not my way. That doesn't make me an enemy of Islam. I am en enemy of intolerance, but that is all. I also think that the state should not sanction a religion. This secular thought is difficult for Moslems although there are examples such as Turkey. There are some other minor points where Moslems and I disagree, but in general I think Islam promotes a good lifestyle for those who truly believe and follow its teachings. I hope this makes sense to you Abowe.

I like waryaa to answer to you since he initiated the quest for your beliefs or what you think. I would like to answer only a few of your sayings.

YOUR SUGGESTION:

"Where you and I would differ is you would undoubtedly say that everything he wrote is the word of God transmitted through him".

ANSWER:
------

You are not the first one who said so. Even 1400 years ago Our prophet's people suggested and argued that he had a hand in the writing of the quran and that he was copying from other people. Allah answered TO YOU/THEM ALREADY :

"And if you are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down(ie. the quran) to our slave (Mohammed) then produce a chapter of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides ALLAH, if you are TRUTHFUL." AL-BAQRA 23.

Now if many people including the ARABS who spoke the same language of the QURAN had their doubts in MOHAMMED that he wrote the quran or the Quran had flaws in it YOU/THEY were given a challenge "write something like it" and if you/they can't do it then its only their/your claim and lies.Precise isn't it?. Bring something like the quran even if it is a line or two.

Again YOUR ANSWER:
------------------

"It is not the word of a poet, little THAT YOU BELIEVE! Nor is it the word of a soothsayer, little is that you remember! This is the revelation sent down from the lord of the worlds.
AND IF HE HAD FORGED A FALSE SAYING CONCERNING US, WE SURELY HAVE SEIZED HIM IN HIS RIGHT HAND AND CERTAINLY SHOULD HAVE CUT OFF THE LIFE ARTERY(AORTA) And none of you could withhold us from(punishing) him" 41-47 Al- Ma'rij.

Now Allah declares in these verses that if MOHAMMED scw added anything or hinted doing it he would be punished for his fabrications and thus none of the people of the universe could help him from the ruth of GOD.

My friend, it is your little knowledge of the QURAN that compells you to think the way you think or talk. I am glad though you said IT WAS YOUR IDEA and OPINION and in that case you are entitled to think the way you want as long as you declare it is yours.

YOUR SAYING:
-----------

"And the way I get my guidance from him is through prayer".

TRUE and you will never fail if you ask ALLAH TO guide you to the right path and don't make associates with him during prayer. Although I am sure if you die the way you are YOU ARE NOT CONSIDERED A believer. I know it hurts but that is the truth. You have a lot of things in your beliefs that make you A DISBELIEVER. My sugestion to you "READ THE QURAN" to find out.

About the secular systems of turkey and the quasi islamic countries are not my interest. It is just a waste of time. Enough of their guilt is PROHIBITING MUSLIM WOMEN TO VEIL THEMSELVES AND GO TO THE UNIVERSITIES WHEN THE CATHOLIC NANNIES ARE ALLOWED TO DRESS THE WAY THEY DO AND GO TO SCHOOL AND WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT. I don't know if you agree with that. ONE SIDED SYSYTEM THAT SERVES THE INTEREST OF THE CHRISTIANS WHEN THE COUNTRY IS A ISLAMIC COUNTRY. IT IS DISGUSTING AND PROPABLY THAT IS WHY THE WESTERN COUNTRIES LIKE TURKEY. Abuse of the muslims is A GOOD CREDIT IN WESTERN COUNTRIES.

I am inclined to agree with you about Turkish policy on the veiling of woman. But try and understand their point of view. The Turks desperately want to maintain a secular government and feel under seige. Hence they've tended to overeact. I don't agree with their policy, but I understand why they do wht they do.
Also, I don't know one way or the other if Mohamed copied and edited elements from the Torah or the Bible or not. I wasn't there. I've read the Koran and I don't believe this. I think, as I said, it was devinely inspired. But I also believe that he made mistakes - as all humans do - in the transcription effort. I do not believe that God communicates in precise wording. I believe he communicates really through ideas and concepts - not language such as Arabic. I do not believe that Mohamed made alterations with malice aforethought. I think he made honest mistakes in transcription. But I also believe I could be wrong here. Just as I believe that maybe the Christians or the jews have it right. Or the Bhudists. I don't know who's right - maybe they all are in a way. All I know is that I'm comfortable having the relationship with God that I have. If you are comfortable with yours then there's no problem. We're all happy. I'll respect you, you respect me and we're both good to go. I appreciate the fact that you didn't stoop to calling me names and so forth though. I know what I believe is somewhat of anathema to you.

Islam & Science! What a nice combo!

Let me share few cents with ya!

In 1989 attended lecture series that Dr. Ibrahim Fisiqu (Instructor at the Gahayr Medical School) gave in a crowded dark room in Hodan, Mogadishu. I think the title of the lecture series was something along the lines of "Exploration in Islam; Scietific and Religious prospective" (not exact title, just my interperetations).

Though I only made it to few of the lectures, Dr. Fisiqu (may God reward him for his work and effort) enlightened me and others as to the existence of God (Allah). He media of conveying the messages of Islam was the reconciliation of the Scientific laws and the laws of Islam. And they are reconcilible, believe me. He stated, and I soon have discovered after close 8 years of scientific studies, that Islam and Science (note the capatilization) are one of the same thing.

Islam is the "KalimaatuLaah" (i.e. words of God (Allah)); Science, on the other hand, are the "AyaatuLaah" (i.e. Signs (Physical Evidences)of God. As a result of this inherint origin, the two will never contradict, but rather will and should reinforce of one another. Why do we see somewhat contradictory views coming from science and islam (when they should've agreed on everything). The problem lies with INTERPRETATIONS of available data that both Science and Islam provide for us. The laws that govern life are invariable, however, our understanding of these laws will always suffer because of our biased and time based interpretations. We once thought the earth was flat and the center of the univer, then time changed we no longer hold that belief. We once thought ETHER existed, but time changed and Principle of relativity shaped our world. I can go on...

If you ever go back and think about what made us (scientist or nonscientist alike) belief all those inconcieved ideas, you will find that while the phenomenon the ideas were trying to explain were themselves true, the error stemmed from our interpretation of the available data. These interpretations all shared one thing, that they all conformed with the popular idealogy of the time.

True science's (Science) theories and Islam will always attest for one another. And the ultimate goal of life will always remain to be to proof that there is Creator (the mastermind of all there is). While the truth is out there for us to discover, unfortunately time will not allow us to be present the day the current knowledge reaches its ultimate capacity to explain the realities of life. And it's because of this intrinsic property of humans, that drives us to belief in something (something supposedly from above). God new that our intellectual ability alone will not "cut it", and that is why God sent guiders and their guidelines, so we may see the truth in a timely manner. ISLAM IS NOT A GUIDELINE SHOULD SWOLLOW like a mericle cure; Islam is a challange to all of you and it employs more than anything LOGIC so you may understand the message and then follow it (not the other way around). The first thing Allah revealed to Prophet Mohamed (SCW) was not the claim that Allah is his creator, but rather the "ropes" of logical processes and reasoning (Scientific Methadology). Time and time, God challanges us in His Book and with scientifically proven physical evindences. In my mind, "the ball" is on our court whether we realize the truth or not, we will be held responsible of our choices and we will not be able to claim that we didn't see the evidences.

Father micheals is responsible for these. He started the whole gameshow. Had he not insulted the feelings of muslims, we would have minded our own. You have to deal with the repurcations and the outfall of his short sightedness and acute syndrome of polytheistic beliefs. More is coming to his way unless we see the change we want. that is"when do christians learn to mind their own and leave us to live the life we want"?.

I know you are somali and sometimes apply your hypocritic tongue when we talk to each other. But I have a sharp eye for the disbelievers and their hatred for islam and muslims.

If you keep your distance from us so we keep ours. remember, if you respect people, they will respect you in return. Don't expect otherwise.

I know why you were expecting me to lash out at you. But I beleived you when you said you weren't father micheals. End of the Harrassment period.

Now:
----
your saying:

"But I also believe that he made mistakes - as all humans do - in the transcription effort."

Your Answer:
------------

"Or say they:" He has invented a lie against Allah?" If Allah willed he could have sealed your heart(so that you forget all that you know of the quran). And Allah wipes out falsehood, And establishes the truth by his word. Verily, He knows well what(secrets) are in the breasts."42:24

Now, muslims believe this verse of god. That mohammed scw had no hand in the quran. Not a word of his own as previously indicated in the other verses. If there was a mistake THEN allah SAYS "And allah wipes out FALSEHOOD" although for a muslim to believe such a thing IS APOSTACY. Anyway due to your background, we have to understand (as muslims) that you must have a limited understanding of islam and no one can blame you for that. Many muslims including those who visit the forum don't know much about islam academically but traditionally and orally which is sometimes enough and sometimes not(Depends). That is why those who know must fill in for others who don't. I hope that will be sufficient to answer again your belief that the quran have mistakes. If not, bring them out here so we can discuss about it.

Your saying:
-----------
"I do not believe that God communicates in precise wording.".

Your Answer:
------------

" Those messengers We endowed with gifts, some above others: To one of them Allah spoke; others He raised to degrees (of honor);"2.253

My freind MAC, Do you see a precise and pertinent response to you FROM GOD?. May be ALLAH wanted you to believe in him with complete submission but you chose to be inquisitive about his desire for all humans to believe in him.(Nothing is wrong with that though SO IT IS WRITTEN) some to belive some to disbeleive.

There is another one here in which ALLAH TOLD us he spoke directly TO MOSES:

"And messengers we have mentioned to you before, And messengers we have not mentioned to you, And to MOSES ALLAH SPOKE DIRECTLY" 4:164

So you see MAC that Allah tells our prophet mohammed that MOSES was spoken directly to BY HIM and we as muslims HAVE TO believe that ALLAH speaks to WHOM HE WILLS. For allah chooses what he wants and THE WHOLE UNIVERSE belongs to him.

Mad Mac:
--------
It doesn't matter whether you and I to believe in the correctness of what has ALLAH revealed because he says IN THE QURAN:

"But Allah bears WITNESS to that which he has sent down(the Quran) unto you(mohammed), He has sent it down WITH KNOWLEDGE, and the angels bear witness. And ALLAH is ALL-SUFFICIENT as a WITNESS"4:166

There you go MAD MAC you and I have no impact on god's words. It doesn't matter whether we belive in its correctness or not because ALLAH HIMSELF AND HIS ANGELS BORE WITNESS THAT IT IS THE TRUTH. If you refuse ALLAH SAYS:

"Those who disbelieve and prevent (minkind)from the path of ALLAH, they have certainly strayed far away. Verily those who disbelieve and did wrong, Allah will not forgive them, nor will he guide them to anyway except the way of hell, to dwell therein forever, and this is ever easy for allah"4:167-169.

This IS THE ADVICE OF ALLAH TO ALL HUMANITY:

"O'mankind! Verily, there has come to you the messenger(muhammad) with the truth from your Lord, so believe in him, it is better for you,. But if you disbelieve, then certainly to ALLAH belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. And ALLAH IS EVER ALL-KNOWING, ALL-WISE" 4:170.

We read things like that in the QURAN which is attraction to a heart that wants to believe in a god WHO IS able and EVER LASTING. So how can A MUSLIM think there is something wrong WITH THE TRANSCRIPTION of THE QURAN?. Hell, no way we can believe that. And I hope someday you will see the light. You are not far off anyway.

LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST:
-----------------------

" Just as I believe that maybe the Christians or the jews have it right. Or the Bhudists. I don't know who's right - maybe they all are in a way."

Your ANSWER:
------------

ALLAH advised ALL DISBELIEVERS and he said to CHRISTIANS:

"O' people of the scripture(jews and christians)! Don't exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of ALLAH aught but the truth. The Messiah Jesus, son of Mary was(no more than) a messenger of Allah and his word(Be!-and he was) which he bestowed on Mary and a spirit created by Him; So believe in Allah and his messengers. Say not "Three(Trinity)! Cease!(it is) better for you. For Allah is One Ilah(GOD), Glory be to him(Far exalted is he) above having a son. To him belongs all that in the heavens and all that in the earth. And ALLAH is All-sufficient as a disposer of AFFAIRS" 4:171.

Mad Mac as long christians don't follow that advise of GOD they ARE APOSTATES AND WILL RESIDE IN HELL FOREVER. For their taking JESUS as GOD and namimg him THE SON OF GOD. And sometimes like catholics go to the extreme MAKING MARY ANOTHER GODDESS. The whole thing of theirs is messed up. And THAT takes your suggestion or thinking that they may be right out of the window. Allah declared them to be wrong SO SHALL THEY REMAIN.

AND FOR THE JEWS:
-----------------

Allah says about them:

"And they were covered with humiliation and misery, And they drew themselves the wrath of ALLAH. That was because they used to disbelieve the AYAT(proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, revelations, etc) of Allah and killed the prophets wrongfully. That was because they disobeyed and used to transgress the bounds(in their disobidience to Allah, i.e. commit crimes)"2:61

Read the Quran if you are a truth seeker and try to stand by your word of respecting others by avoiding to speak with authority in matters of islam(I am not saying you do). As long as you ask, no one will have the right to insult you except when someone like father micheals comes here and acts in his misery that he is right and others are wrong. That is when people don't deserve any respect at all and can be treated in kind. As for you, I think I will let you know when I have a proplem with you. And speaking of a proplem if you can stop saying that it is in the quran to beat a wife would be great or bring it to us so we can discuss about it and you teach us something we didn't know. DEAL?.

Deal. But if i find it again, I will cite the passage and maybe you can clarify for me. If truth be told the biggest problem I have with Islam is the same problem I have with Judaism and Christianity and that which caused me to reject Christianity a long time ago. It's the explicit threat that if you don't believe the doctrine then you're damned forever. When I have asked God for help he has helped me. I believe God is a kind and generous God. I can not believe that he would damn the souls of the majority of the planet. All three of the major monotheistic religions (I'm not counting Buhdism here and the Hindus have me baffled) explicitly threaten the individual with a requirement to believe or be condemned. I categorically reject that. You will notice that both Christians, Jews and Moslems all use the expression "Fear God" (often in English they will say a "God Fearing Man". I don't fear God. I trust him. I love him. I believe in him. But I don't fear him just like I didn't fear my father. Respect yes, but not fear. There's nothing written in the Qu'ran or any other religious writings that could steer me from this. The God I believe in is a loving God, not a vengeful one. And that is where you and I really diverge.
I wish that Moslems and Chrisians and Jews could focus more on their similarities and less on their differences. But that's what a millenium plus of warfare will do for you. We've been killing each other so long it's hard for us to imagine that we could be friends. Fortunately no one is at war with the MACISTS (it's a joke) so I needn't be fearful Otherwise I'd be in trouble since there's only one follower of MACISM. Well Abowe, keep up the quotes. You too Waryaa. I do like reading them and thinking about them. Nabad Gelyo Abowe.

Your saying:
-----------

"I wish that Moslems and Christians and Jews could focus more on their similarities and less on their differences."

This was proposed long time ago by ALLAH when he said in the QURAN;
"Say (O Muhammad scw)"O people of the scripture(jews and christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you, that we worship none but ALLAH, and that we associate no partners with him, and that none of us shall take others as lords besides Allah, Then , if they turn away, say: "Bear witness that we are muslims" 2:66.

You think christians and jews will accept that?. I don't think so. They didn't accept it before and it will be difficult for them if not impossible to accept it today. Besides, There is no trust in their word. Whether it is the word of god or not ALLAH told us in the Quran that they played foul in their books. And ALLAH is most trustworthy when he said:

""And because of their breaking their covenant, We have cursed them and made hard their hearts. They change words from their places and have abandoned a good part of the message that was sent to them.
And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of them. But forgive them and overlook (their misdeed). Verily! Allah loves the kindly". (5):13. How can we trust people who keep changing even today their books?.

Mad Mac, it is Allah WHO decides for muslims what to do and what not to do since they submitted themselves to ALLAH. There is another verse that also indicates that they wrote their own desires in the book of god to win some favours and money which WAS a complete dishonesty to ALLAH:

" Then woe to those who write the book with their own hands and then say "this is from ALLAH" to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby." Albaqra.

So the Unity issue between muslims and christians and jews WILL NEVER HAPPEN as long they disagree on GOD HIMSELF. End.

Your Saying:
------------

"If truth be told the biggest problem I have with Islam is the same problem I have with Judaism and
Christianity and that which caused me to reject Christianity a long time ago.".

You did not differentiate the threat you said was always explicit. What I mean is, if the threat is from ALLAH, he has the right to do and I tell you why. Allah says in the Quran:

"Has there not been over man a period of time, when he was nothing to be mentioned?. Verily, We have created man from nutfah drops of mixed semen, in order to try him, so We made him hearer and seer. Verily we have showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful" 76:1-3.

Now Mad Mac, let us be honest after you read those verses. If your boss gives you a task with the tools and kits to achieve that task and you decided to ignore those orders DO you expect a punishment or not?. Is your boss capable to do what he wants or not with in the frame work of his power?. The ANSWER is yes. So what do you think OF THE GOD WHO created you in the fisrt place when you were nothing at all to be mentioned?. And gave you all the physical abilities you have today. Don't you think you have to pay back the favour willingly and if not forcefully?.

Yes god is merciful and his mercy overrode his anger. But he punishes those who deny him his rights too and ALLAH IS ALL WISE.

However, if the threat comes from someone like me or another person, it is just a pure rhetoric due to anger, ignorance, being bigotted or what have you. So never mind if someone threatens you for he/she is human being.

I don't understand why you claim you don't want to listen to what I wrote. You can do yourself a favour by not reading it if you don't like it. But you can't tell people to shut up can you?. What happened to the christian civilization and tolerance?. Or it is just a mere trick to lure muslims into misery?. Tell you what, I have a few lines from the bible for ya and here it goes:

"Judge not, that you be not judged, for with
what judgement you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you again. Why behold you see the mote that is in your brother's eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye?" [7:1]Mattew.

I don't like people who can't read their own verses from the bible. I can be of great help if you have a proplem though let me know. I have an eye opening sessions for ya. And whether somalis are nothing or not they are better than someone who can't be what he isn't. There is the white guy MAD MAC who is more appreciative to somalis than your dark skinned individual. SHAME ON YOU. And if you don't stop your harrassment I will teach you a good lesson from your bible. It will do you some good.

I can't read what Mel Ibrahim wrote except the part that he says he's Christian. But of course you can say whatever you like in this forum or elsewhere. Anyway, back to your topic. If my boss tells me to do something I have to do it unless..... it is immoral, unethical or illegal. In which case I'm required to disobey that order. You see that's the core of the problem. You believe that the book of Islam is THE word of God. That it is infallable. That it is perfect. I don't believe that we have such a book on earth. I believe you have to search your soul and ask God what is right. He will tell you. I'm not sure there's a day of judgement either. At least not in the sense that we think of it. The book of Mormon has some interesting writings on this subject. The Mormons say there are different levels of heaven. That God doesn't actually deny you entry, it's more like when you come to someones house and you have dirty feet so you don't want to walk in. I don't believe this neccessarily but it is a different approach. Frankly, I'm not sure what happens to us when we die. I suspect we only get to find out when we die. But I don't fear death. It seems to me to be part of a natural cycle of things.

Mad Mac.

I told you before Mad Mac that your thoughts of the QURAN is not important. What is important is IF YOU CAN FIND THE MISTAKES and WRITE THEM DOWN HERE. CAN YOU?. ANSWER IT AND IF YOU DON'T, I TAKE IT THAT YOU ARE TRANSGRESSING AND DISRESPECTING THE RULES OF INTEGRITY AND FABRICATING LIES AGAIN.

And you remind me Of Allah's saying: "A party of the people of the scripture(jews and christians) wish to lead you astray. But they shall not lead astray anyone except themselves, and they perceive not."3:69.

Whatever your intentions are, you have to know that Allah told us already for he is all-knowing and a perceiver. Also I don't believe that you consider the QURAN a good book at all and your previous sayings WAS JUST A LIE TO WIN TIME FROM PEOPLE TO PUT DOWN YOUR PLANS TO WORK FOR ALLAH SAYS:

"And a party of the people of the scripture say: Believe in the morning in that which is revealed to the believers(muslims), and reject it at the end of the day, so that they may turn back".3:72

You see, this is HOW YOUR FOREFATHERS treated the believe of muslims And how they wanted MUSLIMS to become DISBELEIVERS to ALLAH by pretending early in the morning that they agree with muslims and at the end of the day they tell MUSLIMS that they don't believe it anymore TO CONFUSE MUSLIMS. Now, you have resembled those people and talk like them most of the time that you believe at one time the quran is revelation and at the other time that it HAS MISTAKES. It means THAT ALLAH IS NOT PERFECT RIGHT?. That he doesn't know what is right and wrong?. This is one of the proplems those disbelievers had. They always ridiculed ALLAH with or without knowlegde. BRING THE MISTAKES OR ELSE YOU ARE THE SAME AS THOSE AGGRESSORS OF YOUR FOREFATHERS. They were envious people full of hatred for muslims and didn't want muslims to enjoy the mercy of god for the revelation is mercy to people and to those who follow. And they(Your forefathers) advised in secrecy to each other. But ALLAH TOLD us their SECRET for there is no secret from ALLAH:

"And believe no one except the one who follows your religion." Say "Verily! right guidance is the guidance of ALLAH"3:73

That is how all disbelievers behave towards muslims including you who is repeating all the time WITHOUT EVIDENCE that there is something WRONG WITH THE QURAN but can't PRODUCE IT. It is just a FUTILE CLAIM that speaks of desparation. Otherwise show me WHERE. I can show you from THE BIBLE THOUSANDS OF MISTAKES, HUMAN MADE MISTAKES AND ADDITIONS into the BOOKS of GOD. And I think if you are fair you can do the same for me from the QURAN. It didn't work for FATHER MICHEALS but you seem to be more clever than him so why not try revealing the mistakes?.

Your saying of IMMORALTY AND UNETHICAL:

Allah does not order people any immorality or unethical things. Did ALLAH order CHRISTIANS TO HAVE THREE GODS?. That is unethical. Did ALLAH order CHRISTIANS TO KILL BABIES IN THE WOMB?. That is unethical?. Did ALLAH order CHRISTIANS to legalize GAYSM AND LESBIANISM?. It is really against the teachings OF THE BIBLE. ALLAH NEVER TELLS PEOPLE to do unethical things but SATANIC HUMANS fabricate and follow their desires. Anything that goes against their desire is unethical that is how twisted PEOPLE ARE. A disbeliever is always working against ALLAH and for THE DEVIL. They are united for mischief and AGRANDISEMENT AND they give all the bad things names that conceal the truth.

Mad Mac as much as it hurts You remind me of the VERSES of ALLAH concerning the SATAN and his ORDERS to US muslims:

"So fight you against the freinds of SATAN; Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Satan"4:76.

Satan and his soldiers will never win as long as we hold on to the quran for it reveals to us their secrets and plots.

Allah says:
----------

"And whoever takes SATAN as a wali(protector or helper) instead of ALLAH, has surely suffered a manifest loss. "He (satan) Makes promises to them, and arouses in them false desires; and SATANS'S PROMISES ARE NOTHING BUT DECEPTIONS"4:119-120.

You see Mad Mac, You remind me of those verses when you deligently promote your idea of disbelieve that the Quran is WRONG AND NOT PERFECT so I seek refuge in ALLAH from the EVIL desire YOU PREACH.

ALLAH SAYS:
----------

"Verily, We made the devils 'auliya' (protectors and helpers) for those who believe not"7:26

I don't want the devil to be my mentor in my life that is why I avoid and try my best to stay away from the satanic deeds and MAD MAC your speech creates suspicion in the minds of the weak and thus is REALLY SATANIC.

This coming VERSE IS GOOD FOR YOU whether you like it OR NOT:
----------

"And Satan(devil) will say when the matter has been decided: "Verily, Allah promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had no authority over you except that I called you, so you responded to me. So blame me not , blame yourselves. I can not help you , nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me as partner with ALLAH(by obeying me in the life of the world),. Verily there is painful torment for the ZALIMUN(polytheists and wrong doers)."14:22

You saw in the bible previously that you will be rewarded according to your deeds and what we have here is nothing different than that. You screw up, you are screwed period.

And when you come next time with the same message of THE IMPERFECTION OF THE QURAN, remember to bring with you the EVIDENCE. If you can't which is propably likely, know that you are an evil man who wants to deceive muslims in the forums by saying LIES AGAINST GOD.

Bring forth your evidence.

What is the interest you have in Mel Abraham's writing?. Or you are burning hot but acting cool on the surface Mad Mac.?. Let Abraham Deal with me but if you want to help him, that is fine with me too.

mel ibrahim let me ask you this if you're as proud of a christian as you say you are then why are so angery? is it because you know deep down inside that your beliefs are mainly hoax? can it be that it bothers you that ma brother is revealing the mistakes of the bible and you can't due the same for the quran? as much as ya'll would like to come with faults of the quran...you can't and you'll never be able to so give it up i wonder...but as mentioned over and over and over in quran for those that have gone astray non can guide...and subhanallah you're definitely gone astray may allah guide you to the truth...

mad mac i've mentioned this b4 you really need to study the quran yourself otherwise you'll never discover the truth...you can't judge a book by its cover so read the quran, analyze it and ask questions about it if you're unsure about some ayahs (verses)...cuz i can guarantee you that it's the only perfect revelation send by the lord...i don't understand why you're so keen on the quran being fabricated and not true revelation by god...when you didn't even read the quran...

man i've given you the advise i can give you...and you've gotten even better answers from ma brother so i don't know what it is that you're looking for...you need to either come with hard evidence to show us why you believe what you believe about the quran...or just leave the topic alone

anyway i've said enuff so i'm gone head on outta hea now...brother bashir i really enjoyed this session of yours and i'd appreciate it if you could a continue it...cuz you never know mad mac might finally see the light and believe...by the will of allah...

MAD MAC

Bashir Abdi
Cool down buddy. We were doing real good a while ago - don't loose it now.
I am not trying to convince you of anything. Keep repeating that to yourself. MAC does not care what Bashir Abdi believes. MAC does not think he has the right path for anyone. Satan is not working through MAC to convert anyone. What the hell would I convert them to? MACISM?????
Remember what I told you earlier, I do not have my copy of the Qu'ran here. It is in my house back in Germany. I go home in October so you'll have to wait until then.
Now, I wasn't saying the Qu'ran was telling me to do anything immoral. I was using that as an example of when I don't have to follow orders, that's all. This is a conversation between me, you and Mulimah (curious). Believe me no one else is reading this or I'd be taking poison spears right about now through my PC. And you and Muslimah are, well I'll just say true believers, so I couldn't influence you if I wanted to - which I don't. OK that's not completely true, I'd like to convince you to support my future efforts in Somalia. But I don't want to influence your beliefs. Consider this just an intellectual exchange. I tell you what I think and you tell me what you think. If at the end of the day we disagree that's OK.
Now, I am not going to try and defend my forfathers. I was not alive during their time and am not responsible for what they did or did not do. So other than putting things into historical context lets not even go there.
Now, having explained all of that there's one thing that's bothering me here about your diatribe. What if you meet a fundamentalist Christian? Can't the two of you have a dialogue (assuming he can), exchange ideas, and at the end of the day remain on friendly terms? If not what does this mean for the future? Do Muslims and Christians have to turn to killing each other. Or do they have to segregate themselves? Does the US have to throw all of the Muslims out of America because they can't coexist with Christians? Of course you and I know they can exist side by side as long as everyone is tolerant and each repects the other. Msulims want to build a mosque and conduct the call to prayer that's their right. They are free to practice their beliefs as they see fit. Doesn't that mean that in a Muslim country others can practice their religions as they see fit? Obviously in a western country islamic law doesn't apply. Everyone has to abide by the local laws. Just as obviously everyone has to obey the local laws in muslim countries. So I guess that brings me back to my main question. Can you have a scholarly debate with someone of another belief without it becoming an emotional and vindictive exchange? Can you regard a non-muslim as an equal - just as I regard you as an equal. Because if the Moslem world can not do this it doesn't bode well for the future. We've had centuries of warfare and mistrust - and there's blame enough to go around - are we in for centuries more? Islam never had an inquisition history like radical Christianity had, but sometimes islamic rhetoric makes me wonder why. You seem like a reasonable man, but you can become vitriolic quickly on this subject. Why is that? Nothing, other than intolerance, gets me fired up.
Now, having said all of that, don't get me wrong. I like you, I am pro-Islam in many ways. But I am not unconditional in my support for ANYTHING. Not America, not my family, nothing. If I think something is wrong I'll tell you. Doesn't mean I disrespect you. Just means I won't keep my opinions to myself.
Which reminds me, when I was young my dad started taking me to Karate lessons. One day I asked him why and he said "John, God gave you a small body and a big mouth. You're going to need this ••••." Remember, Abowe, I'm your buddy. Not an enemy. Take care dude. And keep the quotes coming. I'm sure you've got some for my diatribe here. Gotta go. Nabad Gelyo.

actually, the idea that the qur`an talks about "the big bang theory" was founded by rashad khalifa, a man who muslims hate today(another reason that i believe rashad was a believer!)

even the verse you quoted 21.30 was translated by him(the way you quoted!)

the muslim world was the first to OBJECT the "big bang theory" along with christians and jews. however, IT WAS in the qur`an, and when rashad founded -- hallelujah -- he suddenly was the "good guy" -- and when he warned against hadiths, he suddenly was the "bad guy". even you, waryaa...was bad-mouthing him(REMEMBER our discussions???) and to use his works...is point-plank hypocritical. disgusted, to say the least!

I would like to know who translated your COPY OF THE QURAN. And whether it is authorized version BY ISLAMIC SCHOLARS. If it is neither authorized by Islamic bodies nor translated by a muslim, I don't expect it will teach you a healthy prospect of islam.
