This is incorrect data, its just as well you called it UN-OFFICIAL.

The true data is :

Oromo 40%, Amhara and Tigrean 32%, Sidamo 9%, Shankella 6%, Somali 6%, Afar 4%, Gurage 2%, other 1%.

How can you honestly pretend that there are more Tigreans than Amhara people.

There are about 20 million Amhara , 35 million Oromo & 5 million Tigreans& 4 million Somalis.

Also you dont seem to know much about the DIR people who live in Ethiopia, so I can only assume you are DAROD.

Let me enlighten you.

The Dir people of Somali Galbeed consist of the
Esa, Gadbiirsi, Isaaq & the Gurgura. The Latter is the nickname for the subclan of DIR called Mohammed DIR, but the Ethiopians know them as the GURGURA.

They are the DIR Somalis who built and own DIREDAWA.

They also populate another 10 Ethiopian towns.

Numerically they are equal to the Isaaq of Somaliland.

The Ethiopians, and their Tigrean police men, know them very well and try not to upset them at all costs.

I went there last year and the Tigreans respect them whilst at the same time they treat the Oromo's harshly.
