to togdheer. I am from Howdland, I think you know who started the war in 1982 there. It is true that dhulbahante and habarjeclo had many agreement before and every time you get oppurtinity for revenge you started to take advantage. we understand peace time, is peace time. it is unlikely that we will start another war, even if we get new weopen and aminition from south but I am surprise you poeple stop killing visitors and bussiness people last two years. So that is good sign. compare to hoboryoonis and garxejis which we never had either big war or real peace agreement. Ali Khalif and his group do not have any plan for confrontation but it is time for isaaq to negotiate this new somali goverment. Cigaal goverment will not work and nobody will recognize. All future war should be avoid. |

Ethiopia reportedly mediating between Somali president and Somaliland leader Posted Monday, November 20, 2000 by Admin
Reports from Ethiopia say that the Ethiopian government is involved in mediation or is trying to organize talks between Somalia's president, Abdiqasim Salad Hasan, and the president of the self-declared republic of Somaliland, Muhammad Ibrahim Egal.
Mr Hasan has held talks with the Ethiopian premier Meles Zenawi. Likewise, Egal has visited Ethiopia and held talks with Mr Zenawi.
The meeting is expected to take place soon.
