Anonymous | Thursday, November 23, 2000 - 08:56 pm Reading the opinion of many of my compatriots did not add a trifle to what I think is a remedy to the problems of our country. It seems we keep forwarding biased views that demean other tribes and their leader without focusing out attention inwards. I deduced , in particular, that each of us tries to deride other tribes and ignore the mistakes and crimes commited in his own region. I presume we believe in the slogan " devided we stand " . We keep sinking in style without realising that we are not only destroying what is left of our country but the future of the generations to come as well. Take the program of this new goverment for instance. The first motion they brought forward is " change of passport ". It is obvious even to a two year old kid that they are only after money . It absolutely has no other objective! Looting , rape and assasinations are still ripe in Mogadishu. That is the headquarter of the so called care-taker government. The first step should be to pacify Xamar which has become a ghost town and withdraw the thugs who occupy kismayo, brava and Merca which are not their land in the fist place. Abdiqasim and his followers keep flying from place to place to enrich themselves....They keep rubbing salt to a worsening wound. That in its turn will create a new faction and will not bring about peace. Just more clashes ! Village man |

Abdi | Saturday, November 25, 2000 - 08:38 pm Village man, I agree with you. It seems every Soamli is saying " if we are in up to our necks , we might as well sink in style up to our noses1" |
Amina | Saturday, November 25, 2000 - 08:42 pm If our menfolks want to swim in "merda" , why drag us women, the kids and the elderly along ? |
Saeed | Friday, December 08, 2000 - 06:23 pm Amina sister, women folk always follow their men , even to hell for that matter. And vice versa! So if we are swimming in " merda " as you pointed out , just remember no one is dragging you . You just happen to be in the same pool. |
village man | Friday, December 08, 2000 - 06:25 pm The idea was to look inwards but it seems we are drifting away from the main topic |
