xariri | Sunday, January 21, 2001 - 10:13 pm Probably every country has military forces and there is no doubt that no country could exist without one. Therefore, we can say any country with well disciplined, organized armed forces will be able to maintain and safeguard, its pride, nationhood and sovereignty. Similarly, any country with corrupted, undisciplined, divided forced will disintegrate and loss its statehood some day, soon or later. However, why do the Somali generals and colonels who were trained to safeguard the territorial integrity and the sovereignty of our country, decided to be aligned with the enemy of our existence, whom they (armed forces) are intended to defend the country from. The answer is simple, experience is telling us that our soldiers had only been thought how to kill, but not whom to kill and whom to protect. Now, the newly appointed transitional government have realized that our sovereignty can not be restored without strong, faithful, disciplined armed forces, though it appears to be too early to warn, the government should bear in mind that the soldiers are sword with two edges, therefore our armed forced should be physiologically trained before they are physically qualified how to use the Killing Machines. |
