Badhan | Sunday, February 04, 2001 - 09:29 am To: Kenadid, Abdirizak and True Puntilander, Thanks for your advice, and I will try to avoid the bad language that I have been using in the past few months, however I must state my own reason behind all these foul language. First of all, I'm very sure that the three of you are more close to President Yusuf, tribe wise, than I'm, and therefore, there is absolutely no reason why you should think that I'm his cousin who wants to swipe his mistakes under the rag. As a matter of fact I know that he has done many mistakes in the past and he is still doing it, but to me Abdillhi Yusuf is just another Puntiland leader. Now he is there and tomorrow he is gone. What matters to me is the name of Puntiland and its people and the democratic process. My friends you have no idea what it is like to be a Darood/Hart kid growing up in the middle of Iidoor, and the constant derogatory words and humiliation which he endures day in and day out, and this is why I consider Puntiland as the secrete place of all Daroods Particularly the Harts which I'm a member of. I spent four months in Puntiland last year, and for the first time in my life I felt I was someone and respected human being who has a home and a place of origin. Therefore, it is my duty to protect my Puntiland and my dignity, and the minute a person is elected fairly as the leader of Puntiland, that person is going to be my leader. It is not important who that person is. It could be one of you, Mr. M..A. A. Sharmarke or Mr. Yusuf for all I care. This doesn't mean that I don't have my own preference as who will be the leader of Puntiland, but it means when the election process is over, I would have to respect the will of the majority of the people of Puntiland. Many of the participants of this forum are very confused when it comes to the leader and the country, and of course many folks are trying deliberately to create conflicts between my own people. Either they are so stupid that they don't understand what is a stake, or they're what I call Moryaan lovers and macaan jecel. I have been there in Puntiland and talked to many different people, and I'm certain that the majority of the people of that region are more sophisticated and more understanding of the general cause than most of the people that I met in North America. So, my friends we have to understand that Somalia isn't the nice old Somalia any more where people lived side by side in harmony in places like Iskuraran. Situation is different today, and it will never go back to that old Somalia. The faster we realize what we have is the best and move on, the better is for all of us and our children. We have to also realize that Puntiland is indeed the richest region in Somalia. The future economy of Somalia will depend on mining, fishing, life stock, international trade, manufacturing and farming. The first five Puntiland is going to be leader. I'M A PUNTILANDE FOREVER. |
