Puntland and Presidency
a wonderfull dream

The people of Puntland still dream on being the ruler of the Somali state, a dream which many of them still fancy to come true. It is not impossible thing, as we all know it came true once in 1960s. But what is deserved to mention is that the same folks terminated that dream. Out of greedy Mr. Hashi, a CIA informer during 60-90s orchestrated the death of President Mr.Abdirashiid. Right there the dream varnished. Mr.hashis second great assignment from his old spymasters came early 1990s, when he and his friend Col. A.Yusuf waged a crusadeEagainst Muslims in Bari region. A Saudi paper called the evil triumphEand compared the Muslim expulsion to that of Muslims from Spain in 1492. The man still calls the shots, commands the path of Puntland and probably still on CIA payroll. The revival of that old Puntland dream was tried once again in a state coup by the same folks, but once again as usual let down by one of their own Mr. Morgan. The outcome of that failed coup was SSDF. It was once called the most well equipped rebel force in east Africa. The demise of that rebel came once Mr. C/llahi Yusuf took the command. Once again a tragedy struck. Mr. A. Yusuf out of greedy sold the rebels to Mr. Barre in exchange for money and office. His personal plan backfired and ends up in prison in Ethiopia, but the damage was imminent and the rebels never recovered from that deceive. Mr. Abdullahi Yusuf came out of prison in 1990s after the fall of Mingistu and immediately took control the region by manipulating the folks there. Now he is the president there and still dreams on becoming one day the head state of Somalia. These are the facts and their own little history and I am wondering if that dream will ever come true! In order that dream to come true this is what should be done. First they should look the enemy and traitors inside, before they look outwards. They should take the responsibilities of the failed attempts to gain control. It is likely that we might see a President from Puntland but the question is what prize to the people of Puntland?
