IT SEEMS PRETTY INSANE AND LUDACRIS THAT AN UN- RECOGNISED, MAKE-SHIFT STATE WOULD ISSUE PASSPORTS TO ITS CITIZENS. SINCE NO COUNTRY ON EARTH RECOGNIZES SOMALILAND WHERE WILL THE CITIZENS USE THE PASSPORTS OR OBTAIN VISA'S FOR THE PASSPORTS????? MARS,VENUS OR JUPITER LOL LOL
I THINK THE GOOD AND HARD WORKING SOMALI'S IN THAT REGION OF NORTH-WEST SOMALIA UNDERSTAND THAT CIGAAL IS JUST WASTING THEIR TIME AND PLAYING ON THEIR EMOTIONS AND I HOPE THEY RECOGNIZE IT IS IN THEIR BEST INTEREST TO JOIN THEIR BROTHERS IN THE NORTH-EAST AND THE SOUTH

Your Nationalism is laudable but your understanding of international politics is limited. A state that is not officially recognized can still issue Passports, and it is upto the individual countries to accept them or not. The reverse statement is also true. A recognized State may have its passports refused by any other state. S/land P/ports have already been used and accepted by some countries.

The general rule is if the country in question is rich or politically important, its passports will be honored, no matter whether it is officially recognised or not. Taiwanese passports are accepted everywhere although the majority of world countries do not recognise Taiwan's existence, while Sudan is recognised by almost every country in the world but many authorities will not afford Sudanese citizens the right to passage. I hope this answered your question and allyed some of your concerns.

It maybe wise for you to concenterate on improving the dire conditions in your once beautiful home town, rather than slagging off those parts of the country who live in peace and relative prosperity.

Thanks.

The people of somaliland have maintained peace and economic growth over the past ten years or so and its people are still busy to rebuild their coutry which have been demolished by you. To simple answer to your remarkets, Somaliland is not something the president of Somaliland Egal imposed upon its people it is the will power of the people which decided the existen of somailand. The people of somaliland have made mistake when they joined South in 1960, and they are not willing to go that route again. My friend my only advice to you and to all your people is stop dreaming and stop looting and killing each other in the street of mugdisho.
