Once There was a scorpion on a river bank contemplating how he was gonna cross the river. Just then came a frog afloat from the water and asked the scorpion what he wanted. The scorpion answered “I want to cross over to the other side, can u carry me on your back? ,”The frog answered”If I do, u will sting me and I will die, “”No., “said the scorpion, “but if I sting u and u die, I will drown and die too.” So the frog contemplated the frog’s reasoning and thought sure that is true y would anyone want to get killed ? .A while later the frog agreed to carry the scorpion and as they reached half way the river, The scorpion stung the frog.As the frog was drowning he could not understand, So he told the scorpion. Why, u will die too, “The scorpions looked at the confused frog and said “it is my nature.” They both died.
The Point I am trying to make here is, Wrong is a wrong no matter who its done to. If anyone is hurt, Killed or tortured, Its wrong and it should be condemned. I am for Justice I don’t care what color or shape it comes in. You said "the southerners" what about the "northerners" who wer Siad's senior officers when his soldiers were killing and raping Majertens in central Somalia? What about the "Northerners" who killed so many civilians when they captured Hargeisa? What about the "Northerners" Who killed innocent civilians when Tuur and Igal were fighting?
I think anyone who committed crimes against humanity should be punished.
Also, I never ever saw any Isaq person who sympathize for Darod civilians who were massacred in Mogadishu when USC took over the city. Even the so called Issaq intellectuals downplay those massacres which were more severe than what happened in the North.
A typical Issaq mind sees Darod people as criminals and SNM (Although cold blooded too) as saviours. They also never condemn what USC has done to Somalia.
I fully agree with you if you are saying ALL criminals should face justice but singling Darods and praising USC and SNM who killed and maimed innocent people is not acceptable. |

In Xamar i was their during the war in the south 1990. I remeber setting ina a local resturant playing billiorads.. one Ogaadeen soldier was playing for money with his gun, its was his weather he lost or won the game...to any other tribe other then Darrood,. Finally a little kid showes up and he beats him, but the Ogaadeen guy was laughing.. he told him " iska tag miskiinyaw" after while he saw how the kid was talking and he asked around and they told him he was a mreexaan..lol the Ogaadeen gave him the money saying..."ilay waa cayaalkayagii darrrood heheh kumaan ogayn ina adeer ee waxan moodaayay inad tahay shisheeye..heheheheh..
The was 1989 the USC was meeting the SNM Caydiid was demanding men and arms and fule and the SNM refused to give him men but they chose to give him fule and weapons. The darood in xamar even got so intoxicated with power and stupidity to the point where they were blind.I remember when relative got deported form the Sacudis and in the air port ..a person form other tribe couldn'y get his laguge out untill he tips some meraaxaan or bring at worst a darrood person,, mreaaxaan women were all over the place ..demanding money for realse..even women..
In the North i rermeber how the ogaadeen and dhulbahante walke with pride and steal form the same pepole they lived with years and in the case of the ogaadeen who fought for them and welcomed them home as refugees..even the hungary refugees took weapns and started to rop..rape..and kill..they were darrood after all. Gaani walking with shades acting like he can peirce the sky with his power hassling poor women selling tomatoe in the street for just to prove he is the pose..lol.. in 1987 300 nomadic pepole were captured in Gebliay and shot dead and shiped on a military truck so they can be praded in July 1st..and they were.
I can tell u on and on how the majority of Darrood enjoyed the maximum and never thought about the consequnces .. even Laylkase taxi drivers had guns and could take mor then their share or else..it wasn't Siyaad Bare alone..it was u toooooo..
