I don't know much about this Keinaan character, but one dreadful day I got into a car with a Somali girl and she had this tune playing and after the course, I knew something was odd about this rapper who kept repeat "In the streets of dixon..bluh bluh...dixon".
Let me address the man who suggested that we in Canada are low lives. You shouldn't slander people for choosing to find a niche in a segregating society. At least they've found refuge amongst each other in Dixon. If you are referring to a few riffrafs that may reside in dixon, so be it, but don't stereotype the whole region and its people. By the way I have lived in Toronto for 12 years now, and I have never been to Dixon. I never sought the need and Keinaan, is giving this place to much publicity. It's only a bunch of building complexes. We really don't have hoods in Canada, yes there may be government housing, but there are no real ghettos in Canada.
I really don't like this Keinaan from what I have heard in his lyrics, I actually clicked on his picture in the corner and went to his homepage. Any of you who believe that he is preaching straight from the heart, then I believe you're the few who went astray. Personally, the matters he was talking about in that one song was shocking to me, drug smuggling, drinking, etc. All these acts I did not think my people took part in, even if the unmasked few who did exist amongst us did, is there a need to rap about it and make it seem like it's the norm. I think his topics are demeaning and he can rap all he wants about his home in Somalia and how North America let him astray, but as always we are the captains of our own destiny and should not blame any nation for our woos. For those of you who succumb to temptation, even though it may be hard to resist, in the end you're the one who makes the call. Okay I got side tracked, but I think I've said my peace. |

that is really not correct U must understand that U are aloud to sing BUT U must abide by specific rules that has been set for us when it comes to singing in the QURAN. eg.instruments, Lyrics (cant remember anymore)
