Ask

I am doing this as a service. All of you know that India is one of the emerging global IT power houses. Ask anybody who has worked for Microsoft at any capacity and he would tell you that his boss was an Indian. How best can we take advantage of the abundant opportunities in that impoverished country called India. I lived in that country for a while before coming to the US, my first job here in the US was a Systems Administrator and now I am an IT manager for a internet start up company. There are lots of opportunities to be had in Silicon Valley. I have seen a lot of people here who have been languishing in the corridors of community colleges for years without learning anything meaningful, my advice to these people and others whose lifes have stagnated is endure few months of hardship in India for your future good. The courses that you could take include MCSE, MCSD, Sun Certified Java Programmer, etc. I am preparing a document that would give you details of what life is in India and I would even try to recommend the best cities to go for such courses, the duration it would take you and so on, all based on my personal experience during the years I spent there.( No liabities whatsoever should anything go wrong while you are there, if you can't handle strong masalas, spices, better not tgo there lol,)
If you are interested send e-mail to akbaarindia@hotmail.com and some one will try to reply to you.
It bothers me to see so little IT Personnel among my people and this is one of the things I thought might help.

Hey Mr ASK, I am sure your tip is well intended, from network administrator to IT manager, that seems a long jump to me in no time. Any way I am not here to doubt/not to doubt your credentials, I just don't understand why would some one have to go to India to take courses that won't get you anywhere & available here every corner for as little as $2000. MCSE, MCSD, even with certification unless you have years of experience I doubt if any company would take a chance with some one with no experience, no back ground, make be you can give more details as to why it is possible for some one with no experience to get a job with these short courses.
Eagerly waiting for more !!!

If you are an IT manager you would know the kind of jobs in India are Programmers. The people who wrote the codes for Microsoft and Oracle, NOT MCSE.

Why would someone go all the way to India to take MCSE classes? Who will pay for room and board?
Why can’t they do it in here? They already have a roof under their head. The amount of money it will cost someone to go to India can finance an MCSE.

India’s IT market is hot because of Software engineers over there are cheep compared to here in the US.

It would have been better if you have advised people to go UNIVERSITY in India.

And one more thing MCSE itself is not cutting the mastered like back in 1996.

Anonymous, all I know is that it doesn't make any sense to go to India to take short courses like MCSE,MCSD that in the end won't get you any where unless you have years of experience & computer background.

I wish if the expert Mr ASK would answer that Question for all of us.

what we need is wherever we are that is in your europe, north america, australia we have to enroll in community college or universty and get some education not only on IT but any education than we can do something first for ourself, then for our communities and our country. Education is important, the reason why we are down today is lack of education but it is never late. Let us get educated. Ramadan Karim

Hey CAYNI, I don't get it, you didn't add anything useful here, the issue is not whether India is IT superpower.

Hey CAYANI, I think you are ASK using this alias trying to avoid the question that many of us asked, cause brother didn't even mention indias supposedly IT superpower & all of a sudden you sounded just like ask.

Conclusion CAYANI is in fact ASK I don't see the difference or common sense either.
