I HAVE SEEN MANY MARRIED SOMALI BROTHERS PURSUING THEIR EDUCATION AND GOING TO COLLEGES AND INSTITUTES? BUT I RARELY SEE A SOMALI SISTER WHO IS MARRIED AND STILL IS IN SCHOOL? SO THE QUESTION I AM ASKING HERE IS? 1) WHY WE DON'T SEE MARRIED SISTERS IN SCHOOLS? 2)ARE U MEN THAT SELFISH AND NOT LETTING YOUR WIVES PURSUE THEIR DREAMS???? 3) WHY MOST SOMALI SISTERS IN SCHOOL ARE ALL SINGLE WHILE MOST OF THEIR MALE COUNTERPARTS ARE IN MARRIAGE? 4)WHY DO SOMALI SISTERS INSIST THAT THEIR EDUCATION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HAVING FAMILY? 5)DOES IT SEEM THAT MARRIED SISTERS ARE SACRIFICING MORE AND OPTING OUT OF CONTINUING THEIR EDUCATION? 6)HEY, SISTERS,WICH ONE IS YOUR PRIORITY: EDUCATION OR FAMILY? ps: AN AWSOME COUPLE!!!!!!!!!! I KNOW A BROTHER WHO SACRIFICED FOR HIS WIFE TO FINISH HER EDUCATION, AND IN RETURN WHEN THE SISTER GRADUATED, SHE DID TURN THE FAVOR BACK. NOW THE BROTHER IS IN SCHOOL!!! WHEN I SEE THESE TWO ( they r my neighbors ) I CONGRATULATE THEM AND SHOW MY ADMIRATION FOR THEIR COMMITMET TO EACH OTHER AND THEIR STRUGGLE TO BECOME SOMEBODY!!!! THEY ARE IN A WAY MY ROLE MODEL AND THEY MOTIVATE ME A LOT. AGAIN THIS IS A DISCUSSION AND THE PURPOSE IS TO GET US ENLIGHTENED AND COPE WITH OUR DIFFERENCES.

Not all Somali sistahs.... seek education(unfortunately)...Many believe its no use.. ASAP...But yes, u can find many who r in pursue for higher education while managing hassles of marriage life!... I hope that satisfies ur curiosity. I am one who is in plans in doing that inshallah....although I prefer to be done with school first.
