Much has been posted in this forum concerning many aspects. Some of these postings were indeed well-informed and up to the point. And some others were really quite perplexing and confusing as they served nothing tangible at all.
But the question still remains as to whether whatever that has been posted here really served any purpose at all, given the prevalent hostile attitudes so far visisble almost every corner in this forum.
While i acknowledge the fact that every person has somehow a right to post whatever they desire, yet there is somewhat a related duty to act morally and rationally having specific regard to the so called rule of civility that "treat others as you would like to be treated".
A lot of you have posted messages that indicated that you were totally shocked and indeed astounished to believe that there are individuals who are capable of saying whatever that comes to their mind. At the same time a lot of you rebuked those who objected to the nasty things that were posted.
Equally some kept their distance lest they be rebuked.
Nevertheless, there was somehow a sentiment that what has been posted here was really deplorable.
A new attitude has emmerged recently, namely that of masculinism and feminism in which men and women exchange certain unacceptable abusive words, each asserting his/her dominance over the other.
Men calling women pitches and •••• and women also reciprocating in return equally with much force.
While these arent what has been normally expected, there arouse amongst the somali people a segment or a sect that indeed is pursuing a means of depicting somalis as wortheless and indeed savages.
The non-somali reading these pages will be struck at the first minute he looks at these pages by somali way of thinking.
By the time he/she leaves this forum, the damage has already been done and irepairable.
The result is non-somalis forming hostile attitudes towards somalis in general.
Every action has a consequence and words sound and echo far beyond the horison.
While i am not blaming no one in specif yet we all have to take the burden as we watched this blazing fire take its toll in our midst.
Let us act rationally and act morally and stop the ever purposeless messages here.
life is full of mysteries who knows ?

Hello again,

Man you really are making alot of sense. I've left the forum long ago b'cuz of this same attitude that somalis seem to be possess lately. Walaahi, there's so much hostility btwn Brothers n' Sisters. We need a change of attitude. Its not healthy at all!!!! But I feel that its deeply rooted.
peace.

Liberalthinker,
It's true about the point that non-somalis get a horrible picture of us after visiting these forums. I particularly know of one Finish skinhead who constanly refers to these posts to prove his point that we are savages. He is totally convinced of his arguments and uses some of the extreme and harsh posts to support his arguemnts. Please, bros and sisters think before writting, you're only causing damage by belittling your selves by writing such offensive and degrading posts about the Somali male and female attitudes.

the way we depict yourself and project an image which seems harmless in our eye; the words we utter affect the external structure of our fine culture. we become nuisance and unpleasant people to be dealt with. the profanity we use, are found of those of weak minds. we lack the social reform that set guide lines to better conduct ourselves.

if you disagree with an individuals' opinion, articulate your point without abusive words..

only those with language barriers express their weak minds with vugular languages.

i do agree with the above author 100%, what can we do abot these emerging attitudes.?
I am sick and tired of these, everyone justifies such naughty postings by turning to freedom of expression.is this freedom of expression? this is a moral decay and degeneration...
Thx anyway, i see that many people share with me such sentiments,,,
