The Somali organisation known as Dadihiye Somali Development Organization has won £169,200 (equivalent of Som. Sh.1, 859,169,600) from Princes Diana’s memorial fund. The organization’s aims are to relief poverty in Somalia and refugees outside Somalia and in particular providing humanitarian assistance and rehabilitation to victims of diseases, calamity and conflict. The organization is based in the United Kingdom and is headed by Dahabo Mohamoud of Response community projects,

1.8 billion somali shillings has to accounted for since it was taken in the name of somalis. What I am interested in knowing is to see the end result of the money going to the right place as intended (i.e helping the victims of poverty in somalia).

I am not surprised by your comment as it is many Somali's mentality that any money that is gotten through a charity can be spent on yourself. On the contrary in the United Kingdom it is illigal to spend any money intended for charity on oneself.

Let us congratuate the organization "Dadihiye and its leadership. I am sure they will do as good a job as any nongovernmental organization in somalia that are run by foreigners. Welldone!!!!

First I extend my congratulations to the people who have been granted the fund.

Second..we should remember that Everyone will be accountable for his deeds and intentions in the day of judgement.

I hope some of our poor people are helped with that money.
