FYI, the barwanes dialect is similar to kiswahili. Both languages do not differntiate gender, for example there is no distinction of he/she....hence the confusion when reer Barawe speak Somali (they tend to use he/she interchangeably because the distinction does not exist)
I am also related to reer baraawe, my cousins's mother is a very beautiful reer barawe lady. People confuse my cousins as being 100% barawe, and some kids try to harras them and and they get shocked when my cousins kick their a#@ |
