I aponed this page after see'inng different converasation concerning the relationship between the somali women and somali men,most of the time these two different sexs aske one onether wether is he/she is beutfull or not.
The quation now is how do we somalis men and women meusure the beuty? |

i think we measure the beuty in outside not inside.
But what i don't understand is who u to judge who is beautyful and whos not? Did u ever think thiz person whos not as good looking as u are choose this way to be? No the answer in No. This is just test from Allah Suxaanahu Watacaalah.
When i was in somalia, i never saw one guy claming he was cute or etc. Now days if u married somali guy try not be the cute one in the Relationship.

Unfortunately we Somalis due to our ignorance and stupidity measure beauty by qabiil how dump
This is my own conclusion all somaliwomen are pretty,The issue with men is different a man can be handsome but what's most important for a man to have is a good attitude(respect,understanding)overall a unique personality. |

As we know the word "beuty" is abstrait means we can not touch it it is same like the word love,hate,etc.We feel it but to discribe it we have to have a model.
The model of the beuty varies from community to community the model of the beuty wich European communities consider the best is different the one of the African and chinese communities.
Now a days the western countries demonated the world with their powerfull technolagy and that also allowed them to influance the others to consider the western countries as the best,the eurepean structure of the face,the colour of the skin,ayes,the hair is considered the best and the needed model.
For the somali community we believe Islam and our culture based to that religion wich says"sawarakum fa axsana suwarakum" "idin sawiray ka dibna wanaajiyey sawirkiina" the measure was that all human being is beutfull so our culture the beuty was measured inside,but know because we have been influanced by the westerners we are searching western model and we are confused about it. |

I don't think that anybody has the right to judge who's beautiful and who is not. If we said beauty is what people consider then in that case everyone is beautiful. I say this because people are different and they are individuals, therefor we have different opinions on who's beautiful and who isn't.
If you look at the western ideas of beauty and compare it our ideas you will notice that they are the opposite. The western countries consider that being skinny is being beautiful and if you go to Somalia you will see that men like fat women.
Another reason why we can't judge beauty is that people have different ideas no matter what for example I might find someone attractive and my friends may have a different ideas.
On my opinion Islam is beautiful and no one can tell me that I'm not beautiful because once you follow Islam and you have respect for yourself you will find the true meaning of beauty inside you.
