Algeria: Benzema will not play for Algeria

(SomaliNet) Algeria is to miss the expertise of Karim Benzema, a French born Algerian native, who has said that he is unable to play for Algeria's National side.

"Algeria it is the country of my parents, it is in my heart. But as far as football is concerned, I will play for the France national team," Benzema said.

Benzema is a good striker and had been lined up in the France- Greece friendly game. However, he was unable to play because he was nursing an injury

He plays for French Champions, Lyon and went to Lyon academy. He has been very excellent news for Lyon.

Benzema received an invitation from Algeria's Desert Foxes last week, which he turned down.
