Mon. September 25, 2006 01:22 pm. -

Mohamed Abdi Farah

(SomaliNet) Deputy leader of Council of Islamic Courts Sheikh Abdirahman janaqow and the chief security of Islamists Sheikh Yusuf Inda-Ade have separately spoken out Ethiopian troops that are said to have crossed into Somalia on Monday.

Sheikh Janaqow appealed all Somali people to defend against the enemy from their land, urging them to keep the integrity and religion.

He asked the Ethiopian government to withdraw its troops from Somalia; otherwise, they will face bad consequence.

Similarly, Sheik Yusuf Inda-ade who has also held press conference in the capital today called on the Arab League, UN and international community to watch the aggression by Ethiopia in Somalia.

He said they’re not on offensive to our neighbor country (Ethiopia) noting that Ethiopian troops have entered in Baidoa city of Bay region in southwest of Somalia overnight to help the shaky government. Meanwhile, reliable sources say that units of Ethiopian forces have crossed from Bardale village of Bay region.

There is no immediate comment from the government over the arrival of Ethiopian troops in Baidoa, the seat of transitional federal government.
