The execution happened in publicly at around 9:00am this morning at the square of Ex-police academy compound in south of Mogadishu where hundreds of people gathered to witness the completing.

The security of the area was heavily tightened by forces of Islamic Courts, with every corner was placed with battlewagons to avoid violence.

Mahad Osman Ugas, in his 30s was slain by group of Islamic fighters in public in front of many people. He was tied on the pillar of shooting where he has been killed by bullets.

Mr. Osman has been found guilty that he had killed Mohamed Siad Ukurow, a trade man in Mogadishu on 14 September and shortly after the Islamic Courts sentenced to death.

Many residents in Mogadishu have welcomed the execution as positive step towards practicing the law of Islamic religion.

It is the second man executed publicly in Mogadishu since the Islamic Courts seized control of Somalia capital June 5 and then extended their power through central and south of Somalia.

Yesterday, the Islamic officials announced the execution case would be carried out on Friday.

Earlier, Abdukadir Dirie Malay, was the first executed man last month who has been found guilty that he had murdered Mohamed Hassan Bare, former deputy administrator of Al-Towba commercial company in Mogadishu.
