Not that I believe in the whole "Arab origin" theory but chronologically it fits. Ibn Battuta wrote that a native Somali from Berbera who spoke the local Banadiri dialect was Sultan. Ibn Battuta also went to Berbera and he come these lands 260-270 after Sheikh Isxaaq.
