I always had some respect for Cadde Muse for saving his Kombo region from descending into madness when he was milatarily challenged by Yusuf in 2002. Instead of fighting it out he left thus saving the poor people from further bloodshed

Since then he led Puntland with some decency although he never managed to bring full law and order. Witness the fact that subclan thugs in Garowe routinely walk into prisons and kill or leave with murderers as they did few days ago.

So what is he doing capitulating to Wadaads by saying he is introducing Shareeca? Is he being clever here? Or perhaps cowed? Maybe he is being clever outmaneuvering the local Wadaads as Riyale did so deftly in Somaliland?

But has he got Riyale's understated deftness or is he just getting rattled by bullying local Wadaads?

Thats exactly what he is trying to do. So that the Wadaads in Puntland stay the course of keeping PLand united and anyone who tryies to defy the Sharica law of Pland will be seen like a traitor but the public.

I got my suspicions. The guy is not proper Kombo he is a wallaweyn urban Kombo from Mogadishu. Maybe he hasnt got the steel to stand up to the Wadaads like the ruthless Yusuf did. And because he is an army man he hasnt got the smarmy wily charms of Riyale's NSS training.

So can he pull it off?

You are right he is from Marka actually and xamar too...so he is not as ruthless as ina Yeey...but he must be listening to some good advices.

Besides A. Yusuf is going there this weekened..another positive factor for Cadde.

This is a smart move by Cadde Muuse. He is just confirming to the fanatics in Puntland that it is already in the Puntland constitution that sharia law is the law of the land. He doesn't want the gullible to fall for the ICU political agenda under the guise of Islamism. I say the dude is playing smart, and should play smart and prevent the fanatics from organizing or lending a hand to the trouble makers from down south.
