Alexander Litvinenko, the former Russian intelligence agent who died from poisoning in London last week, requested to be buried according to Islamic laws after converting to Islam on his deathbed, his father said on Monday.

The former spy made the request as he died in his father's arms in hospital, Valter Litvinenko told the Kommersant daily.

"He said Â’I want to be buried according to Muslim traditionÂ’," the father said.

Sounds like a ploy by the KGB to make Litvinenko look like a Chechen sympathizer.

"A police source told Reuters that nine British detectives may fly to Moscow on Monday to speak to witnesses who met Litvinenko in London shortly before his death.

Other detectives have already visited the United States as part of the probe, the unidentified source added."

Yeah the US conspired to kill him, in order to curry favor with Putin, and because they knew he was about to become a Muslim and that would have meant..............well something bad.
