Debating with Hawiye is very unsatisfying. Their debating style is to post a thread, usually something written by someone else. Then make snide monosyllabic remarks rather than addressing the substance of one's reply.

Take out the hawiye but concerning Abdiwahab everyone has made the exact same observation about him, it is almost as if the man is so holding on to loose straw he is afraid of tumbling down if he gets into a informative debate with you. I dont bother but Warsame had done numerous and Abdiwahab has never gotten the courage to address xaasha Laughing

Highclass, we all are and we will be inshallah.

abdiwahab, why do you not unswer the people? clearly aydiid, alle hay naxariisto, was no only bipolar (some even say Maxamed Siyaad became this after the car accident alle hau naxariisto) but i am 100% sure he was psychiphrenic as well. remember aydiid is much closer to i then he will ever be to you, even kambuli knows my mom's habaryaro who are aydiid's cousins so why bring something like that and then still get refuted by keep repeating monosyllabic lines?

in there you have dr mohammed adden sheikh (togane even writes about the brillance of this man), galayr, shire jama (wrote the somali script before siad was leader), dr warsame indholey (engineered bar ama baro), gacaliye, cali mataan (first somali pilot in the 40's), etc etc and supposedly these are uneducated men, you and aydiid call them uneducated Laughing

I got to agree somewhat with abdiwahab. Having all these men being related to siyad was fukked up. Even if they were PHD and well educated men, I am sure there were thousands of other somalis from other clans who were PHd's and who had the same qualities.

What distinguishes them from being qualified or not means little. It's what brings these men to these positions because of there clan/family/wealth or any relationship with M.S. Barre.

I know of a story in the islamic Development bank where my father worked at. The VP was Awrtable. 15-20 applied for a position. Arab, Paki Somali etc

The person who got the job..... A Man with an awrtable connection. Qualified? yessir. Fair? No, because the other 15-19 applications were thrown in the Garbage.

Unclebin, akhii well I am sure you saw that list spread around about cabdullahi yusuf that blew his clan's positions out of porportions, of course something like this will be appearent since the list is majority marehan or related barre, but somalia had thousand and thousands of military/governmental/civil service, etc jobs and we only see a handful names here.

this galol a while back, praising in his own special way Laughing

Funny because for an unknown little Wallaweyn Kombo clan; and they recently told me they are not even Kombo, they produced some remarkable men. Apart from oday Siyad, they gave us Shire Jaamac, Omar Xajji Massale, Maxamed Aadan(one of the least known but one of the best minds the camelshagging race ever produced), Warsame Indhole and others.[/quote]

Unclebin, you make it seem as if all the positions of late government were displayed on here. What you have here is abdiwahab [citing CEYDIID as a source] mentioning all the people who were somewhat related to the late president and saying they were unfit for the job. First, abdiwahab forgot to mention the COUNTLESS other men/women, far more then the list shown, that were part of the government and had NO TIES to the late president. Secondly, he calls these men "unfit and uneducated" when some of the most renown Somali men [the most educated somali man, and the inventor of the somali script being among them] in that list.

All abdiwahab is trying to do is make the late president look bad in order to make the moryaans he hails from and the lunatic ceydiid as good men, and to justify the genocide, countless rape, destroying of Somali cities, and other barbaric acts these men committed.

^^ This government has more Hawiye then Majeerteen I'm pretty sure. I don't think there is a Majeerteen that holds a powerful position other then Abdullahi.

Aw252,

Nepotism exists in practically every government. Haven't you heard the saying: "It's not so much what you know but WHO you know."

YOu show off about your connections and your relatives every other day on this forum and if some close Sacad relative was in a position to make a decision, I have no doubt you would be trying to influence it.

Like I said, my dad knew M Siad Barre pretty well and it was more a question of who he could trust than his tribe. He had no hesitation throwing Marexaan officials in jail if they went out of line. There were more Marexaan under M Siad Barre that were probably more nepotistic than M Siad Barre, but he was more concerned about the progress of the nation than his image and the main reason he staunchly opposed those rebel groups was because of his belief that those rebel groups wer more opportunistic than supporting a national cause.

In fact, history has proven him right because we already know what the USC did.

But also look at the SNM.......their stated goal was the overthrow of the Barre regime, but once the regime was overthrown they come out and say they want to secede from Somalia after contributing to plunging the South into hopeless chaos. The whole idea of Somaliland is for Waqooyi elites to dominate a small region, like the Persian Gulf countries who have been convinced that they are a new country every 50 miles which only benefits the ruling elites but makes each individual country so powerless that they are politically and globally impotent and are more concerned with petty squabbles with each other.

Fact is if any of us were to be President of Somalia we would favor our clan unconditionally. Not necessarily a dictator though but nonetheless your clan would come first I don't care what you say.

I am sure if Abdullahi yusuf does the same. He will end up in the same fate as maxamed Siyad and I see that happening already. Whether these positions are a handful of a much larger pond, it does however show you that key positions, and I mean KEY positions, were given to men like his nephew, son's in law, brothers and other family members.

I am not disputing some if not the majority were educated. They could have produced Websters dictionary. The most important part is to show the nepotism involved.

Sadeboi

Aydiid could have very well been an idiot. But his moryaans sick rapers of 80 year old women and his mission of genocide against a particular clan obvious. Nothing will justify these acts.

Aydiid squandered a lot of oppurtunities to fix somalia up. He choose his maniac vengenance.

However AW overall perspective of accountability and putting the blame on the shoulders of Siyad is partly correct. he caused the rebel groups by jailing key men, executing others and the nepotism of his overall regime.

Ofcourse M.S Barre was not fully responsible or more responsible then others. Abdullahi yusuf will tell you he started the civil war and
he thinks he is ending it today Surprised Laughing

Aideed is responsible, AY is responsible, Siyad is responsible and many other men.

Nepotism is nepotism. I am sure bush cronies in the white house bearucracies are all educated. But they are all there because of some sort of relationship with bush. For heavens sake the only reason bush won the first election is because his fathers friends were in the supreme court and his cousin is an executive at fox, which was the first media group to switch Florida from a blue Gore state, to a red Bush state, which turned the tide in the election. Oh and don't forget his brother was the governor of florida.

The SNM never threw the south in chaos. Did they fight in places other then "waqooyi" ? I don't think so.
