personally I think the niqab is sooo extra.. even the jilbaab somalis just got da from the Afghans it's their tradition

lol okaaaaay, sister your wrong there, i think theres is a difference of opinion on the niqaab between the scholaars of ilm but jilbaab( the outher garment in one full material that covers from head to toe) now thats obligotory upon a muslim woman. As its realted in surah al-ahzaab : O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the faithful to draw their JALABIB close around them; that is better that they will be recognized and not annoyed. And God is ever Forgiving, Gentle.33:59
