No, all of Somalia is focked. No paved roads in any single city in Somalia. The only paved roads were built by the Chinese, and my dad told me that Somalis used to steal the construction material. Just natural thievery, they had no use for it, they're just scum, Somalis are scum.

RIP Somalia.
You know things are bad when Somalis are selling their own kind (ONLF) to get ammunition to kill even more Somalis. I mean, bisinka, this is the lowest point in the history of any civilization at any given moment. And Somalis are being exploited by another civilization in extreme decline to add to the shame.

Paid,
Its one thing to be explited by a world power. Say like Djbouti with France. But Somalias being exploited by starving to death Ethiopia, and going to one of the top 6 poorest countries in the world in search of food (Yemen).

Re: Seeing this makes me change my opinion on Xamar.......
Hargeisa, Bosaso, Xamar, Baydhabo--its all the same. GDP is counted in property and raw money, mostly property like agriculture and livestock, which really evens out most of Somalia. But at the end of the day, there isn't more than a 5% difference in lifestyle quality, infrastructure, or anything else in Somalia. We're comparing overgrown villages to one another. This isn't Los Angeles vs. Budapest, its one tulo vs. another tulo.
But this is the funny thing about the current Somali situation.
http://www.umsl.edu/services/govdocs/wo ... 4rank.html
Somalia's GDP Per Capita: $550
Countries that Exploit Somalia (GDP Per Capita):
Eritrea: $740
Ethiopia: $750
Yemen: $840
Kenya: $1,020
Come on now...that's just really pathetic!

Re: Seeing this makes me change my opinion on Xamar.......
Cabdallah,
My dad also lived in Somalia past the civil war (91-92 in Kismayo, 93 in Xamar, 94-99 in Kismayo). But there was no business to be done, I mean, like, no service or retail business was open because people didn't have money to buy the products or service.
My dad and his company just deforested Lower Jubba and packaged charcoal, then sold it to foreign buyers at the port. That was literally the only business solution. No livestock export because of the restrictions and banning, no agriculture-related jobs because without a government, there wasn't proper care and irrigation, so that was deemed impossible.
You see, cabdallah, no matter what, unless the civilians have REAL jobs and REAL income, nothing is possible. We need a real government, that ALL Somalis, not one or two clans, can accept. Its the ONLY way.
