The united nations is a load of crap.....

Somaliland is much more populated then that....
Reasons being that the average Somali lady has

Birth rate:
Definition Field Listing Rank Order
44.6 births/1,000 population (2007 est.)
Death rate:
Definition Field Listing Rank Order
16.28 deaths/1,000 population (2007 est.)

Thats factoring in the levels of death....

28 people differential per 1000.... So at this rate... 2.8 growth

According to the CIA factbook.....

https://www.cia.gov/library/publication ... os/so.html

Somalia's population 17 years ago was 8 million and the only concentrated town was Xamar and every Somali clan lived there..... People went back to there regions and ofcourse..... 3 percent compounded growth for years would put Somalia's population (including Somaliland at between 12-14 million).....

Ethiopia was 60 million in 1991 and today it's 75 million..>> Don't come with habeshi live longer and have more kids...

Somalia has the 4th highest fertility in the WORLD....at 6.68

https://www.cia.gov/library/publication ... 7rank.html

and the habeshi are Somewhere at 5.1 and when you think about Somali galbeed being at similar rates as Somalia then habeshi have even less kids......

It's safe to assume Somaliland has a population of 3.5 million.

Assuming is not a smart thing.

Those massive birth rates are mostly from the uncivil south. Qaldaans use birth control.

Not assuming nothing dude......Somaliland has a population of 3.5 million and thats probably just the citizens.... God knows how many moryaan are there now.....

Somalia today is 13-14 million in my approximation......

3 % compounded growth at 8 million for 16-17 years and thats factoring in 3-500k Somalis leaving to the diaspora.... Canada, US, Europe, Middle east Aussie land etc

The United nations is a thief organization that likes to underscore populations so that they won't have to provide extra funds....

Plus the Somali population are impossible to measure.... While the "South" is more urban..... Everything from Ceeldheer to Zeylaac is Nomadic in nature.....

60% of Somalis are nomadic.... So any amount of Google earth and towns people is B.S...... and even parts of Gedo (ilkoyars are not towns people   ) While the shabelles, jubbas and the eelaay land and parts of Hiraan are largely agro-pastoral/town settlements...

The first thing that a recognised Somaliland would do is to interfere in the internal affairs of Somalia and install a puppet Hutu regime in Mogadishu.

That would mean an occational incursions and airial bombardments of Dhabayaco areas. The aim is to karbaash the Dhabayaco so that the smaller Xarto clans under SL learn a lesson. 8)

All these figures are estimates, we'll never know the exact figures untill the administrations get to register every single person within the region.
Untill then your guesses are as good as mine.

finnally me and unclebin agree complelty.

one more thing the urban population in the 75 census was about 30%
and it was mentioned that they found it difficult to count the nomadic population and that they were probably undercounted.

Now becuase of the civil war, massive environmental and social changes in the past 30 years
Somalia is no longer 70% nomadic but only about 25 to 30%.

every little tuulo and small town and every city has had compounded growth.

Hargiesa, Muqadishu, Burco, Bossaso Kismayo and others like borame and Lascanood and Galkacayo have all been doubling in size every 10 years.

This growth is clearly not from natural childbirth, but the movement of the previously nomadic
population into the cities.
