Can you help me with some serious PC problem I am having?

Here is my problem.


I am getting redirected to a website which sells Antispyware software, The pop-up link is so stuborn I have to close the browser and restart anew everything I was/am doing. Checking the e-mail is headache, reading the news is just a nonstarter for every link I click on gets redirected to that adwebsite. I have Webroot SpySweeper software, an updated version which usually protected my PC very well untill today. I have sent an e-mail to the company but they didn't respond just yet, they said through an outomated reply that it will take 1-2 business days to get back to me. Any ideas?


Another thing, it is always a good idea to do system restore to a previous date
prior to the date a problem shows up on your PC. With that in mind, I tried to restore the system prior to the 26th of this month. Problem is again, it only highlights on the calendar the 26th and gives no highlighted dates/options prior to the 26th. I can't command the computer to go back to and restore the PC to any date before that date. Weird. It is an option on the top left corner of the window where you can go back to a month if you are computer suvvy and would know what I am talking about anyway.

I am dealing with one smart adware and don't know how to get rid of it. It is worse when I am browsing Spyware websites, most likely the adware is triggered by certain words.

Thought of giving the pc few kicks to be done with it but cooler head still prevails.

Is that free? If not, how much does it cost? and can't you just drop a direct link that works, my computer is in serious bout of crumps like a woman in period and scorned saxib

You may have a trojan. Have u tried scanning your machine with a FREE antivirus like AVAST http://www.avast.com

I would also suggest you try:

1. Adware 2008 by Lavasoft: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

2. ZoneAlarm Internet Security (Get the free trial version and use it to scan your machine) http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/ ... u_list.jsp

Download it and do a antivirus and antispyware scan.

Abdiwahab, I appreciate that, thanks. The Link Htologist gave is scanning my PC right now. Obviously though, and I suspect, it won't let me delete whatever it scans as the online-scan is meant to show you what is lurking in the dark on your computer but not delete it. They want you register.
