How can someone ask you to get rid of your collection ? My married friend keeps his hidden behind the family photos just to remind himself of the better days until his wife found them and was about to rip them up. He was deeply offended.

I don't think is weird.......... as long as they are not kept close. If he keeps them in a box or album along with all his other memorabilia like yearbooks, old birthday cards, awards and the such thats ok to me.

If he keeps a pic in is wallet or in a desk drawer or something like that then thats wrong.

Question. Why would he keep them with his wife and childrens photos? If I were a wife and found a pic of my hubbies ex behind mine and my childrens he is going to have some explaining to do.
