If someone asks your hand in marriage, you hardly know the guy and maybe you saw him 3 or 5 times in your entire life and last time you saw him was almost a decade ago and out of the blue, the next time he sees you, asks to marry him. How could you react to that? Life is such a weird stage!

Yes it's awkward, but why would one consider it? As long you know the person and have developed some bond with that person it's ok. It's like marrying a complete stranger, scary to even imagine it.

I don't know how I would react....I guess it would depend on how I felt about the person.

I've seen this happen twice now within a year.... and both girls have agreed to go ahead with it and they are Married now. However, ive also noticed a pattern in these two scenarios but i shall leave that info undisclosed.
Laakiin all i can say is pray salatul istikhaar- if u are unsure about what to do... in the sense that you are sort of putting it into consideration..
Or on the other hand if you are baffled by their stupidity and artificial guts nd dnt no how to break the NO down to them.... its simple jst write NO down for them on a piece of paper. If I hardly knew him and he asked me to marry him, I would say wtf? ...joking aside, those things are normal in our culture, I suppose it would entirely be up to you and your impressions of him.
