and damn, a 40+ old xalimo LOOOOOOOL
the dude must be old as fuk
you should see the xalimos in their 20s competing with these single moms in their 30s and 40s for reverts

paying for the bill works a bit differently for somalis and muslims
ur suppose to pay for u guests regardless if their men or women...so dont bring this nasty gaal mentality with ur southern gentlemen BS
and if u had an ounce of dignity u wouldn't be seen with this lost soul and her white boyfriend

Firewall:- waaniso= naseeha=advice, that's a rough translation of it. The guy is not a revert btw, he is not a Muslim.
Diyeeshaha_Tolka:- Suga faan ma ka wado waxaan , she's just relatin' the story, that's all.

Its clear that no MUSLIM women with dignity would be seen with some lost soul parading around with her gaal boyfriend
its haram period
Re: A southern gentleman......

ands it clear the dude was trying to impress u, but unfortunately somali women lack common sense

You seem confused, walaal. One minute you're sayin' she should've paid the bill since they're her guests, and the next minute you're sayin' she has no dignity because she took those same guests out to a restaurant? Please, make your mind up, and in the meantime, leave the judgin' to Allah (swt). The woman is 40 yrs old, and Suga is not responsible for her actions/life choices, she's old enough to know right from wrong. Suga is not on trial here, all she did was entertain two guests who came from a different state.

@firefly
first and foremost
i said its required as a muslim person to take care of ur guests and that includes paying for their expenses----but the fact shes talking about southern gentlemen and implying that men should pay regardless is going against our culture and deen ( although i cant back it up with specific quotes from the quran)
second, suga should have told that lady to take her sinning some where else
its clear that these ladies have zero respect for our culture and deen
and for leaving the judging for allah
its my prerogative and right to call out people who are obviously going against our faith

Re: A southern gentleman......
Firewall:- Yes, you're right, Islam does emphasize hospitality towards our guests. I think she said southern gentleman because he is from the South? I also think you misunderstood, she did pay for the bill, and she didn't make out that he had to pay etc, but she was just surprised at his reaction, that's all.
Suga said that woman was adviced by her mother, and she didn't take heed. So it's between her and Allah (swt). Suga did what was expected of her as a host.
It's clear, that you wish to put all the blame on Suga, but if you followed the thread you'd realize that the woman isn't practicin' and that's not Suga's fault, so all we can say is Ilahay ha so hanuuniyo, insha-Allah.
There's a way to go about it, you're goin' about it the wrong way, there's an approach to naseeha walaal. Do you think Suga will heed your advice when you say she has no dignity, and zero respect for the culture and Deen? That's not a nice thing to say to someone.

did you chew chad become mirqaam and found the green leaves chad to be a southern white dude? this chad suff must be lethal.suga_n_spice wrote:so the other day, gabadh aan isku cido nahay came to visit us from Virginia with her "white" boyfriend named "chad" a handsome man with great manners. she told the rest of us that he was a friend so we didn't really go into details about their relationship. anyhow u know how the process goes, we took them out to eat at a predominantly Somali restaurant, and ironically it went well. i mean we all had fun. it wasn't ackward or anything. so toward the end before we finished eating, i left to go pay the bill and came back. a few minutes later we were all ready to go and chad goes "where is the bill?" and i said i already covered it chad and i swear ninkaas siduu uga xumaaday, like he seriously was not happy about me paying. wuuba diiday in uu miiska ka kaco![]()
so then, gabadha she's like "haa, chad is from Texas, he hates it when a female pays"
then i thought, wow! is this what white guys are like?!don't get me wrong haduu nin Somaali ahaan lahaa xitaa wuu ka xumaan lahaa ee but with ajanabi people i thought it would be different. i didnt' think he'd mind that I payed. after all, he was a guest.
btw, he loved hilibka ari, and he ate with his fingers, and he kept trying to speak Somali![]()
