Islamic Courts soldier killed in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU(Sh. M. Network)—One soldier from the Islamic Courts Union was killed and four others were seriously injured in Mogadishu after Islamic Courts soldiers were attacked in between Black Sea and Bar Ubah neighborhoods in Mogadishu, witnesses told Shabelle Media on Tuesday.



The move came after unknown armed militias(a tactic used by shabaabterrorists) with a car opened fire to another car that the soldiers from the Islamic Courts Union were traveling in the area.



The Islamic Courts Union soldiers work with the Somali, Transitional government led by president Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed while many other Islamists oppose it.



An official from ICU confirmed for Shabelle Radio that one of their soldiers was killed in the incident. Residents have also said that one civilian man was also killed in the gun fire exchange. There has been tension between Islamist groups in the capital recently.
