It means Xuska maalinta 1ka August which is 11th Anniversary for Puntland since August 1st 1998

i wonder why this day is ignored,, no activitys no celebrations, it's like any ather day

i guess the creation of Puntland state doen't seem important to puntlanders.

Its hard to celebrate two holidays.

Puntlanders can't celebrate July 1st then go and celebrate August 1st. Qaldaans only have May 18th. Can Puntlanders be allowed to show up to July 1st when they plan to celebrate August 1st as well? It looks bad to celebrate two patriotic holidays in the same month span.

That's why.

And plus, Puntlanders always put the most effort into July 1st of all Somalis, how can this clan party so much?

somalilanders have a sensible reason to celebrate - but it wouldnt look good on puntland since they still claim to be part of somalia
