Re: More Details on the Dead Scumbag
As long as any government can come to Somalia and bomb it's citizens and kidnap what they want, there is no freedom and peace in Somalia.
One day Ethiopia rolls through the border and starting shelling tanks in Hiiraan and kills as many and captures others and leaves, nobody says anything, even the so called government.
Then French come through Puntland, and bomb and capture some so called pirates on the ground and kill a few and leave, nobody says anything.
Then America comes with Helicopters and unmanned planes, hits a few targets, collects the evidence and leaves, no permision needed, no one questions or asks why.
African Union comes in and mascares hundreds of camels, because they thought they were attacking them.
This is the lowest of the low, this doesn't happen any other country except Somalia.
Somali ppl are living in terror, not only do they have to worry about interclan militia and Al-shabaab, but any government can come in any time and kill or capture any Somali they want, any time, anywhere. sad! sad! sad!

Re: More Details on the Dead Scumbag
Wow dude you're right, that's fucked up. No way it should be like that. Which, to me, is all the more reason why any entity, gov or otherwise, wishing to pull them out must work with the West and/or Asia. But they need to work with someone. If Al Shabaab REALLY had Somali's best interest at heart, theyde realize they need to focus a lot less on how long a dude's bard/chciks skirt is, and try and evolve. But...
edit: And it only makes it worse when you have outsiders like this guy contributing to it.

They were on a trip to Mogdishu when this cowardly attack took place. They were not expecting any like that since they were traveling as unarmed civilians. Somali snitches like abdiwahab and american suufi ratted them out.Enemy_Of_Mad_Mullah wrote:Allah Yarxamu shaheed inshallah

No need to glorify a hellbound individual. One less foreign terrorist in Somalia.

Don't see what the problem here is. This is good news all round. The man probably wanted to become a shaheed and finally got his wish. His opponents probably wanted to kill him and finally got their wish. All in all, it saves me from having deep philosophical reflections about the correctness or wrongness of this act. Horaay!

His death will be avenged. Is it fair that an innocent man like Al Sabhan be killed without retaliation?

If you call this attack cowardly, what do you call his attack on the embassy, hotel and airplane? Somalia needs a government , among other reasons, to deal with international criminals of this sort, so that the international community has no reason to violate what should be, but de facto is not, sovereign territory.
The intelligence that produced this result had to have come from within and must have involved significant lead time. I am guessing that this conflict is about to get far more "cowardly" as large numbers of drones and drone operators come on line.
I am also supposing that Africom is just beginning to commit it's assets.
Shabaab's call for international jihadis makes their objections especially hypocritical. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander; and just because you catch the dude in a burka, it doesn't mean you let him go!
