Hi Voltage,
Indeed Meles tried to create this block;
But when it comes to serious business in ethiopian politics, u should at least have Amharas or Oromos by your side; or at least win their neutrality;
The Somali-Tigre block cannot achieve that....

Meles never pushed for a Tigray-Somali bloc or form of alliance. Developing the Ogaden region doesn't constitute pandering.

Hey Agame, do you know aid to Ogaden surpassed the money Zenewi sets aside for Tigray region? The first time this spike occured was the contentious CUD opposition following the so-called elections. The Agame/Woyane regime was living on cloud 9 before that moment when they realized their priorities---Amhara coming back to power should be stopped at all costs.Meles wrote:Meles never pushed for a Tigray-Somali bloc or form of alliance. Of course the small parasitic Tigray cannot resist for so long so Meles is scheming on bringing the lions to the East on board. I am sure he knows we could care less which one of the raw meat eaters is in power and will be the first to stab him in the back when the going gets tough.

This is Jahiliyah and has no place in Islam. There is no "respect" for idol worship and paganism. Have you ever seen a Muslim Arab in the interest of cultural pride go around saying "I am a Muslim but respect the worship of Laat and Uzza stone worship of my ancestors" or an Indonesian going around saying "I am a Muslim but respect the worship of Buddha of my ancestors". I hate to come out forcefully against you but you are bordering on Shirk and that is the biggest sin in Islam, unforgivable might I add.bareento wrote:As for Waaq, I am a muslim with biggest respect for my ancestors religion![]()

Re: If you really hated Ethiopia, you'd support Tigray
I think the whole point of pushing for better relations with Somalis is because the Woyane regime knows Somalis in Ethiopia do not look to Addis Ababa for leadership but to Mogadishu. In that case Somalis are not a threat because they do not want Zenewi's seat whereas both Amharas and Oromos are people of and part of Ethiopia and both are threat, Amhara because of their historical dominance and Oromos by their sheer numbers and legitimacy (the capital is in Oromo land--finefine).bareento wrote:Hi Voltage,

Bareento,
It's not our tragedy, and historically speaking, I never heard of Tulama surrendering to the Amhara. It was a strategic alliance which they entered willingly. Minilik gave his daughters hand to the Tulama leader, Goobana Daace, and Goobana gave him a house on Entoto hill. This is the history. What is tragic is that they fight your ancestors at Calanqo, and you have nothing but praise for them. You should be saying insha allah to the fire of hell with them.True, once their leaders surrendered to Amharas the Tulamas became the fer de lance of Showa Amhara imperialism; but that does not change the fact they r Oromos and that they r warrior like people; its our tragedy that the enemy used it against us....

Listen, sport. You don't know what is being discussed. Empty rhetoric does not constitute legitimate debate. You have to be factually-equipped before attempting to debate something effectively, if you're not, you get nonsense like this.Voltage wrote: I think the whole point of pushing for better relations with Somalis is because the Woyane regime knows Somalis in Ethiopia do not look to Addis Ababa for leadership but to Mogadishu.
I'm trying to help you here. With my guidance and mere association, can even Voltage become a debating champion? Could be an interesting experiment.
First of all, Somalis in Ethiopia have no leadership in Mogadishu to look to for guidance. Understand that and we'll move on.

Aliyyi, wat happened is more complicated than that;
Hundumaafu Tuulamaa har'aan tana abbootiin teeysan nutti duulte jannee firraa ichi qabuu hin qabnu
Ifiifu diina heddu qabna, diina biro fitti ida'u hin qabnu!
wanni godhu qabnu, akka Tulamni nu bira dhaabbatee diina nu wajji dhawu godhu
Voltage, i understand u r trying to give some advice to a muslim fellow u think is in shirk
I studied Islam for years I know am not in shirk, thnk u for your brotherly advice though
I think the biggest problem in alliance forming in ethiopia, is that everyone trys to outfox everyone;
none is interested in having a kind of strategic alliance and this helps the Tigreans in place

Bareento, what is public Oromo sentiment towards Amhara? I know their dislike of the Woyane regime and Agame is very vocalized, but AFAIK it doesn't extend to Amhara, who were relatively similar during their reign.
I'm more interested in the pan-Oromoists views, not those who consider themselves Habesha.

I am afraid Oromos' resent against Amharas is more intense, even among christian orthodox oromos!
The perspective of Amharas coming back to power is so revolting for Oromos; I think some Amharas understood this and want to come to some understanding with Oromos;

I support Woyane and Meles aims in Ethiopia. Not the Tigray people. In fact, 6 million of them suffering famine was a highlight of '09

Bareento,
Thanks

Agame, I know it hurts you but Somalis are not a laangaab nation. By looking to Mogadishu for leadership it is not the actual political establishment of Mogadishu now but the symbol of Somali identity will forever triumph over nationalism such as "Ethiopian" and "Kenyan".Meles wrote:First of all, Somalis in Ethiopia have no leadership in Mogadishu to look to for guidance. Poppa Siad was born in "Ethiopia". Who dares call him Ethiopian?

You are an Agame and a laangaab.
Re: If you really hated Ethiopia, you'd support Tigray
I must know, did you actually think you were 'debating' when you said that? Spout your feel-good rhetoric elsewhere, this isn't the place, sport. 'Symbol of Somali identity' ?Voltage wrote:Agame, I know it hurts you but Somalis are not a laangaab nation. *yawn*You are an Agame and a laangaab.
It's good, you're already expanding your terminology. It's good to see you using words I taught you, even if you don't understand what they mean
