Her point is this: for too long the government supporters were silent but now the Cali Samatar case has brought the time for "xisaabtam". This is the Somali ambassador to Geneva, she was the Somali representative to the human rights commissions of the world including the UN human rights commission and Geneva. She has first hand knowledge of what the objective truth was as those organizations had decided on based on their research. Time and time again Somalia was "commended" and not "condemned" for how it dealt with the rebels. However, since the fall of the government only the rebel narrative has flourished in Somali spheres but now the truth will be brought out that in fact correlates the exact estimates of people killed, the crimes of the snm and their perpetuation of the war, as well as the measured response of the government.

Also, the exact plaintiffs in this case are themselves part of a former case Amnesty research which proved the plaintiffs were in fact rebels and not "hospital cleaners".

I sometimes wonder if you can ever stop to consider the brutality of the regime in its wars. How can you even justify air strikes against major cities ? Such actions were immoral that even Somali pilots refused to perform such missions and fled the nation.
