Really brings it home. I think some countries were more developed than Somalia in the 18th century. If only the TFG, shabab, basically all moryaan's in disguise actually take inspiration from this.

My friend what I've learned is that even the Romans were more advanced than the somalis. At least the romans had a government, economy, the most competent army of their time, advanced architecture where it took the people in the medieval age a long time to catch up to them. The Romans built sophisticated bridges, aqueducts, sewage systems and other stuff which are still in use even today, all the while being at war with the world. Somalis had a couple of hundred sheep and Mogadishu and look what they did to her :
