Re: Stinging during arguments
This was what I meant!!
Saying unnecessary things in the heat of the moment. We had a quarrel and I let myself go
I said so many things, things he didn't know
And I was oh oh so bad
And I don't think he's comin' back, mm mm
He gave the reason, the reasons he should go
And he said things he hadn't said before
And he was oh oh so mad
And I don't think he's comin' back, comin' back

Re: Stinging during arguments
I think we're all guilty of saying unnecessary & hurtful things during confrontations. But we rarely stop and think about the damage it does, specially if its a person close to us e.g. a spouse or a companion. We can turn a blind eye to it, but our concience eventually catches up to us, not to mention losing the person due to such foolishness and then having to live with that realization for the rest of your life. I think it was Sun Tzu who wrote that sometimes not reacting is the best action during a confrontation, than having to live with a lifetime of regrets.
